Once at St Mary's, what seemed like the whole crowd joined in with the slow rendition of OWTS. There was no clapping, no banging on backboards, just singing, and it was class, that gave me goosebumps. Someone on here at the time said it even bought a tear to his eye or something. Seeing footage of the Saints fans at Fratton Park going mental after Moran's winner is special!

How many we taking up there? Heard a rumour that we've sent loads of tickets back.
-
Quite a few scouts there last night... One definitely was noting things down every time Ward-Prowse did anything. Mate spotted another had a Newcastle jacket on.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - Police at the football are w*nkers.

Fox was awful on Saturday and has been all season. He gives the ball away far too much with lacklustre passing and hopeless long balls. He is slow to react and often gets caught jogging back when there's an opposition player in front of him storming down the wing. He's been at fault for several goals this season. I thought he was alright in the Championship and he's just that: a Championship defender. He is hideously out of his depth in this division.

Went to the Palace game last night. Martin is obviously surplus to requirements. Pre-season they only had 1 senior centre back, now they have about 5. Ramage and Delaney last night were solid, Palace were unlucky to concede. Think if they carry on like that then Martin won't get a look in there. Also interesting to note that Billy Sharp started for Forest, was a shame as Forest's attempts to supply their strikers were terrible. He came off in the second half. Dan Harding was average at best. Dexter Blackstock was Sharp's replacement, got the equaliser but it seemed like his only touch of the night! Didn't even realise Simon Gillett was playing until I just looked at the teams! Forest were very unremarkable.

For goodness sake. We are 4 games into a season. Some of the sh!te spouted on this forum is embarrassing. If we beat Villa on Saturday and Liverpool lose to United, we'll overtake them in the table. That is how open it is, and how early on we are.
-
Every game is important and it is important we try and get a result every game. No one expected us to beat Man Utd and City, and Wigan was always going to be tough, so I think it's a bit harsh to say we've dropped nine points. I fully expect that if we lose to Arsenal, and we are on 0 points after 4 games, there'll be many on here already talking about relegation.
-
Or perhaps we could try and be a bit more original and try to come up with something new, maybe a song with a tune that we don't already use. Personally, this has my vote: So here's to you Morgan Schneiderlin, we all love you more than you will know, oh oh oh, We'll fight for you Morgan Schneiderlin, Southampton boys are with you when you play, hey hey hey,

Found an article from Zambia, they worship him over there. Worth a read. http://www.daily-mail.co.zm/?p=13189

I wouldn't change the midfield/attacking line up from the United game. It worked, and if it ain't broke don't fix it. Would put Yoshida in for Fonte if he's available and I wish we had another LB to replace Fox. I'd start Davis in goal. Ramirez to come on as a sub and score a hat-trick, probably.
-
Top effort that!

So here's to you Morgan Schneiderlin, we all love you more than you will know, oh oh oh... (Poor effort, but the only song I could think of where his name fits)

There was a row of about 10 empty seats next to me in Block 2, two rows from the back. The bloke behind me said that he tried to buy some tickets for his mates in Block 2 but the website said it was sold out. About half way into the first half a couple of the ticket office staff came and sat in them but there was still a fair few spare. Club/ticket office needs to address this, and the fact as to why there are so many empty seats in Steve's photo.

The 'getting a bit desparate' Centre Back thread.

Why even bring this up?

Be interesting to see what the attendance is... How much is an adult ticket? Only 5000 at Ajax at £20 a ticket - the same price I paid to watch two Olympic football matches (including Team GB) the following day.

Was very impressed, he was a class act. The future is very bright for him and the club.

I think we are going to get thrashed.

Obviously meant yesterday, not today.

Went to Winchester City v the U18s last year, Winchester won 1-0, and our team had quite a few of the players that played today, plus Luke Shaw. Scott Sinclair was there to watch his brother too.

All Together Now - Good idea. When they supported Roses, the crowd all singing the lyrics was pretty special, sounded well good. Sally Cinnamon - Rate that highly. Would sound good. Not sure it'd catch on though, and would sound sh!t once sped up to 100mph and drowned out by out of time clapping and people banging on boards.

On Saturday morning I saw him at Southampton Central, and then he was on our carraige on a train to London with his family. He didn't have crutches and was wearing normal shoes, he was walking perfectly fine. I said "Alright?" to him and he winked at me.

Don't get me wrong, I cannot STAND Ed Balls. I cannot stand Labour. But I wouldn't call Osborne's performance 'great', I'd call it embarrassing. He accused Balls of being involved but when asked by Balls, couldn't provide any evidence. I don't know enough about it to really add anything to this thread but it's of my opinion that Balls had the upper hand, certainly now after Osborne has backtracked on the accusation. Also embarrassing, was when the Speaker had to eventually shout "Shut up! Do you understand?" after everyone was shouting and squabbling. These are the people who are supposed to run our country, acting like naughty schoolchildren in a class that has a substitute teacher. No wonder we're in a mess...
