  1. I went down to the concourse as soon as the half time whistle blew, queued for fifteen minutes for a burger, missed the start of the second half. Sh!t service, not efficient, took ages. So I can't blame people for going down five minutes early or whatever.
  2. Oasis at the Joiners just so I could say I was there. Or Knebworth. Or Maine Road. Or anywhere. Spike Island. That Sex Pistols gig in Manchester in 1976. Joy Division. Would have loved to have seen the Clash. Closest I'll get is seeing Mick Jones play a few Clash songs in the Hillsborough Justice Band at Heaton Park before the Stone Roses gig. Seems about 90% of music I like was at its best before I was born or when I was too young to appreciate it.
  3. From Swansea forum: "Just had a good read on the Saints forum. They re all a it down specially after last nite. No positive comments to be found anywheres , they all seem to be resigned to the fact their going back down. 4 points from 10 games is hard for any manager to keep his job from. A lot of them reckon they were much happier in thenChampionship and don t belong in the PL as it s all changed radically sincemtheymweremhere last." Well done Alpine. Now people think your negative views represent our whole fan base...
  4. I wear my poppy with pride, it is important to never forget. The money goes to a very worthy cause too. I've sent off my cross and that will be planted in Westminster's field of remembrance.
  5. Great venue. Would hate to see it go.
  6. I can fully understand why AFC Wimbledon fans hate MK Dons. But I don't quite understand why MK Dons fans hate AFC Wimbledon?
  7. Went there last season. Nothing special. Lacks any character and the transport links are a nightmare. Both sets of fans are crammed onto trains and if I recall correctly a gobby Saints fan got punched on our carraige. The ground looks unfinished, whilst the main stand is quite impressive, the other three are ****. The one at the opposite end to us looked no bigger than some of the really old, tiny grounds we visited in League One!
  8. Being a facsist doesn't necessarily make you a bad manager. Lazy argument.
  9. Neither is RJ Mitchell. Or King Canute. Or Jane Austen. It's a ******** place to put a statue too. A statue of RJ Mitchell would be fitting for the city of Southampton cos of the Spitfire, but surely it'd be better at the airport where the Spitfire first flew or in Woolston where the factory was? As for Craig David, Charlie Dimmock... What the **** is all that about?
  10. I hope so... I swear some people on this website are close to having break downs.
  11. I'd like to think Lambert would want to finish his career with us... Unless of course his beloved Liverpool came in for him. Stoke? I don't think so.
  12. Keep him. It's our defense that is the problem.
  13. Considering his first ban was at a Leeds game four years ago, I'd say he is a Leeds fan. Still a tosser, but still a Leeds fan. Saints have fans in Gloucestershire, Leeds, Scotland, Portsmouth, America, Australia... Doesn't mean they aren't Saints fans does it.
  14. It was Whitechapel. What a sh!te place that was. Think whoever recommended it to us was having us on!!
  15. Not the biggest waste of money, but worth a mention - Dani Rodrigues cost £200,000, and for our money we got two substitute appearances and he broke his ankle twice.
  16. They'd definitely be snapped up, I'm sure of it. It's quite embarrassing if the club proudly state that the game is sold out, and then right next to the away fans there's empty seats. I just don't understand why this is the case, why they seemingly aren't for sale.
  17. But Pompey won Family Club of the Year, and we all know Fratton Park is the loudest most intimidating ground in the country, constantly packed to the rafters with the bestest fans in the land. They're all ultra hard and passionate supporters. Clubs like that don't win prestigious and sought after awards like Family Club of the Year.......
  18. Anyone know why this is? Earlier in the season, a bloke behind me tried to buy a few tickets for his mates in Block 2, but was told it was completely sold out. Got to the game, finds about 10 empty seats in front of him.
  19. Guarentee there'll be unoccupied seats near me in Block 2, always is, even if we "sell out"...
  20. Boris is great. I'm no Tory, but I'd vote for him.
  21. Bit harsh on Mayuka, he won the Golden Boot in the African Cup of Nations, has scored against good opposition in Europe and he is still only 21. To me, from what I've seen, he looks like a good player and a great prospect. He was close to signing for another Premier League club too before we came in for him remember. I have a gut feeling he'll be very good for us once he's given a run in the team.
  22. Honestly, what game were you watching?
  23. I watched Forest play Palace a few weeks ago, have to say, Sharp looked lively but the service from the midfield behind him was woeful, him and Cox were getting nothing. Palace were all over them, Forest looked sh!te and were lucky to get a draw.
  24. We should be selling out every game.
  25. The stadium is in the city centre, walking distance from the train station, and a stone's throw from where the club was founded... Have you ever been to other grounds? I'd rather have St. Mary's where it is now than on some retail park wasteland in the middle of nowhere, the only thing close to it being a motorway junction. We drink in Bedford Place and walk to the ground, it's no proble, Loads of grounds are in rough areas, what's the problem?
