I didn’t see the Red Bull link on Instagram, but suddenly everything falls in to place This is their game plan. Kat wants to sell up and Dietrich Mateschiz (spelling) calls Kat and says he is interested in buying Saints. Kat replies: the fans, city and everyone connected to Saints wouldn’t except that. We have to do it on another way. Mateschiz replies: I know this Chinese bloke who might want to buy the club, let him buy it and do what I say. Gao will do anything I tell him to do, he’s not sharpest businessman. After the takeover Mateschiz calls Gao. Mateschiz: listen Gao, first you keep everything quiet for the first year, play the waiting game with all connect to Saints. After 1 year I want you to sack Reed and Hunter. Then hire Ralph Hasenhuttl, I know him and I want him onboard. Next you remove Krueger and start moving coaches on we don’t want. And don’t forget, keep quiet on the transfer market, I don’t want players I cannot shift once we take over. In a years time the fans, players, sponsors everyone will be desperate for you to leave and that’s when we come in. Copy that Gao? I’ll pay you and Nelly handsomely for this. -
And the next manager will be sacked, the way it goes nowadays. Club should say to players, Ralph is our manager and he will remain our manager. You don’t like him or don’t want to play for him? You can leave. That way the club makes a clear statement and hopefully some players will leave (for the right price that is).

What has happened to Smallbone? He played most of the pre season and now seems to have disappeared.

AZ Alkmaar are generally doing a good job recruiting players and managers on a budget. Their DoF is Max Huiberts, might be worth having a look at him. -
Ralph has made poor decisions this season. But look at the players he has to work with and his budget. The damage that what done after Koeman left will take years to repair. We need stability at the club and can’t keep changing the manager. And for people who say Ralph should leave, who would come in and do a better job?
-
The senior players can f*ck off, there’s not a single player in this team I would be sad to see leave.
-
Lemina wasn’t in the squad for Galatasaray, who lost 1-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League.
-
Let’s hope some Chinese or Arab club, with money to spend, hires Pellegrino and allows him buy Carrillo from us.
-
Let’s get things straight, this was utter rubbish and every player and member of the coaching staff should be ashamed. The problem is we have a poor squad and this will take years to change. Les and Ross are to blame for this and thankfully one has left and another might be going very soon. Once Wilson has left we have a opportunity to bring someone in with a short and long term vision. Someone who knows the world of football and has a good track record at other clubs. If I am correct we have an international break coming up. Might be a good idea for Ralph and the players to go on a training camp in the south of Europe. Get their heads straight, work on the problems on the pitch and come back fighting.
-
Yes I would! The seasons under Adkins, Poch and especially Koeman were great! We played amazing football and produced some fantastic results.
-
Who realistically would you want to replace Ralph? I would say he has made tactical mistakes at times, however look at the players he has to his disposal. Apart from Redmond, Ings, Bertrand and maybe Bednarek and JWP, our squad is poor. The Van Dijk money was spent on Carrillo, Elyounoussi (both out on loan), Armstrong (not a starter), Gunn and Vestergaard (both starters but not particularly doing a good job). Money has been badly wasted and this will take years and stability to resolve. Sacking Ralph would only make things worse.

If it was a mistake to sign for us, why didn’t Hoedt hand in a transfer request this summer? I am sure the club would be willing to help him find a new club and let him go for a fair price. Or couldn’t his agent find a club that would pay him the same wage?

That’s the spirit we want!

Garth Crooks has picked Djenepo for his team of the week. How long until we get the inevitable ‘Liverpool want Saints winger Djenepo’ headlines in the papers?
-
Wesley Hoedt played the full 90 minutes for Antwerp in their 1-2 over Anderlecht.
-
Lenina started for Galatasaray in their 1-0 win over Kasimpasa, but was subbed after 30 minutes with stomach cramps/upset stomach. Carrillo came on at half time for Leganes in their match against Villarreal, they lost 0-3.
-
Done deal according to Belgium media. Season long loan, no option to buy mentioned.
-
Antwerp have signed Deffour this morning and a press conference is planned at 16:30 (GMT). We will find out then if Hoedt has moved to Antwerp.
-
Good move for him, Mope really needs him at Leganes. After 3 games they are still pointless..
-
Notice that Crooks only picks players from winning teams.
-
Glad your enjoying it.

Talking of Nice, Sir Jim Ratcliffe completed the takeover of OGC Nice today. Shame he didn’t buy us Saints as he could attend a match and drive home within 30 minutes to his home in The New Forest.
-
Unimpressed with the lineup. Was hoping we would hit them with pace and attack after their midweek 120 minute game in Istanbul.

After watching this sh!t for over 3 years there’s only one conclusion. These so called politicians aren’t here to represent the British people, but only for personal gain. Corbyn will sell his wife if that means becoming pm, MP,s who represent constituencies that voted leave are trying to block Brexit and so on. Get a new deal with the EU or leave without a deal on the 31st. Then we can move on and focus on national problems like knife crime and the NHS. Rant over.
