The FA cup final season, 2 goals v Millwall IIRC. Excellent player. Unusual cultured style for an English midfielder; not running around like a headless idiot thinking that makes you good but sometimes dictating games with quality thoughtful movement.

Sash great as a one off tribute to our heritage, anniversary shirts etc. But year in year out stripes for me.

The afore mentioned video. Sums up my views.

Well his mission was world domination... Tough man to please
-
Well only 13 clubs finished higher than us and 2 of those were Norwich and Stoke. We've got to be a pretty attractive prospect for a lot of the quality around this summer.
-
Prices like £709 and £604 are classic. Take a leaf out of retailers books and make it £699 and £599.. Always keep it just the right side of the round hundred!
-
To me he's just one of those players who looks average in the prem and would look equally average in league 2. Simply a mediocre centre forward. Lambert is a hugely better player than Carroll let alone Cole.

"And they've still got the pigs head on the bench.."

I hope MP proves he's actually been watching the games and drops Lallana. Puncheon must be amazed not to be starting at the moment and off the back of an equaliser at Sunderland he must start. I'd be tempted to leave Forren out now we are this far through the season but why the hell we bought a player who was injured until the end of a campaign, I don't know. What a waste of wages. Why not agree to take him in the summer?! If we don't win this we really have finished the season with a whimper and, after some spectacular results under MP, have slipped to mediocrity and a fair few performances worse than those served up under NA. Lets also give Morgan a bag load of support going into the summer, he needs to know he's a hero at Saints because he's the player the big boys will be looking at.

So who would we want in if MP does go ?

Michael Owen as manager with Beckham to work as global ambassador. The only current member of staff to keep their role will be Jaidi as he scouted so magnificently to find Mayuka the bazuka, who incidentally will move to Real Madrid for a world record £94 million towards the end of ther summer. And yes, I am ITK. And no, I won't tell you my source. -
How so? He has made "stars" like Yaya Toure and Steven Gerrard look utterly inept this season and has been our best player in the prem. He is young, hungry and a rare breed of box to box midfielders who can score goals. I'd go as far as to say we wouldn't be interested at anything less than £20 million. Who can you find for less than that who will guarantee you they will hold their own against the best teams in the world?

Weakest link in the team at the moment, waste of space. Punch must wonder what he's done not to be starting ahead of Lallana.

In other news Oasis have just released Definitely Maybe and the Labour Party are still called the Labour Party

Good performance. And I STILL believe 39 points will stay up. And we are STILL a good side. It's not a total loss of form. WBA was a shocker and we lost our heads. Today was a solid performance and a brave hard working defeat. There is no way we will finish the season on 39 points with Sunderland and Stoke coming up. We also don't look like a team who is going to lose 4 on the spin. No need to prepare for Dean Court in August just yet! -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Maksimovi%C4%87 Serbian youngster, 6ft 4", similar style to Vidic. More caps for the national team than he got for under 21's so clearly progressing quickly right now. Surely he'd prefer Bassett to Belgrade (he says having never been to Belgrade).
-
How about trying to snatch Younes Kaboul from Spurs. Still only 27 and Spurs possibly ready to cash in on him now. Also Lewandowski would be a great backup to Sir Rickie Lambert don't you all agree?
-
Totally take the point about partnerships, unless we sign someone who is head and shoulders better than we have. In spending over £4 million on a Norwegian international centre back I kind of assumed he'd be better than Jos, Jose or Maya. Partnerships have to start somewhere and a friendly in pre season against Eastleigh isn't going to do it. Just seems to me we have a guy with almost certainly more ability than our current crop who is at best on the bench. Even Mayuka got a run out today and god knows, he looks clueless in the tiny snippets we've seen of him. On a positive note, Newcastle got whacked for 6. We're ok already with our points total IMO.
-
Something else must be up with this Forren situation. Can't take the guy this long to get fit and he's been playing reserve games. What are we doing, getting him fit ready to sit on a beach all summer?!
-
Has anyone got any footage of the challenge? A few on here suggesting it really was a total shocker but we're at the other end. West Brom players reaction suggested he thought it was one that was intended to hurt.
-
That just isn't true, he was better than he usually is but that still only manages to boost him to a reasonably s**t level. For the record, his normal level is utter gash. It's not his fault. Takes his cash, can kick a ball with his left, once in a while gets a chance when the boy wonder Shaw is out. But it doesn't change the fact he's embarrassingly out of his depth in the prem. He just had a bunch of other players down at his level today who everyone expects better from.

The believing their own hype is the worst part for me. Seemed the players simply expected to wander to another win and when they weren't, lost discipline and managed to get two men suspended. Really bad one this afternoon, widely unexpected too I think. -
I'd assume they're planning to build their team around him and Wilshire in the near future. Let's not be hasty in writing off one of the most exciting young players around. Still a great move for him IMO and definitely a no brainer.

The best biter plays for Barca, Sergio Biscuetts.
