Isn't everyones only gripe with the whole situation that we dont know why AP was sacked? The fans do deserve to know but as for NC, he is interviewing decent candidates if BBC and SSN are to be believed and will find a good replacement to take us up the league hopefully into auto promotion spots. No doubt AP's exit will be explained at a later date or come out in the press. Some people seem to genuinely think NC is attempting to destruct the whole football club, this seems a little OTT. ML's passing was devastating news for everyone and the club will do him proud when come the new year, despite the doom and gloom on here ATM, we are knocking on the door of the championship. Almost any of the candidates are surely capable of picking up this team and nailing this league. Starting V Swindon (Or maybe MK Dons considering Wilkins looks like he'll be in charge Saturday!)

thought it was already common knowledge that NC is our executive chairman/manager...and im not even ITK...

Everything from the club seems to imply everything is rosy, agreed if this is a team not far from themselves it's a worry. Fans can see that's not the case. Lambert didn't spend most of last season with shoulders slumped trudging around failing to win headers. If he had he'd barely have managed one goal let alone the hat full he got. All will be revealed shortly of course with regards the new man, and needs to be, but a statement from the club explining the sacking of AP is be crucial to fan-chairman respect and faith imo. AP brought us a trophy last season, how can the guy be out of a job?! Regardless of MON or anyone else being linked with the job it looks from the outside as if there has been a totally self inflicted shooting in the foot. This will rightly be fans perception unless told the full story. The photo ban and this manager situation combined have made us a joke of late. It makes me sad that something everyone on here is passionate about is considered from the outside to be jokeworthy.

Wilkins comments on Solent were terrible. Blaming it on AL and LB not there. Couldn't believe I was hearing this from a man in charge of SFC. Never claimed we are big dogs but f**king hell when an acting manager has to blame losing 2-0 home to Rochdale on this you know the relatively mighty have well and truly fallen. Failed to enjoy todays game from start to finish as did everyone else I'm sure. Like tractor why does he not say what he's clearly thinking that he cant wait for someone to come and take to position off him for everyone to move onwards and upwards?! In fact why doesn't someone at the club, anyone, actually say what they are clearly thinking?! Even Butterfield made it sound like we played well. I have never seen such a lack of imagination as that 2nd half, just dyer. If the players like Butterfield are satisfied with that you wonder what things are coming to. As for the subbing of AOC, dear oh dear, my mate told me not to sing cos it helps noone, well I hope it helped get the point across that everyone in the Northam could clearly see he was one of the best players on the pitch, nothing against Mills, just a **** poor decision. We have to pay to watch, and right now Wilking is getting paid to lose. AP was getting paid to win more than lose. Better find someone else who can do that pretty sharpish. Almost as angry as the original poster!

either was now the right time or was it right to sack him on footballing grounds..most ppl will interpret the poll as on a football basis hence the number of people voting NO having started with 1 defeat (V's a championship relegated side) 1 draw and 1 win (4-0 away)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Southampton_F.C._managers Never means anything and probably posted elsewhere but zola on the wiki list already, crazy timing this decision to get rid of pards imo, simply cant be on footballing grounds, if so would have happened a week or so after the end of last campaign. One thing everyone will agree on is that this apponiment had better work out bloody well bloody quickly to keep us lot onside. Just the 14 managers since 2000, yawn yawn..

How anyone can blame the police force in attendance is unbelievable. 30000 people were upset with that result and a hundred or so decided to make the polices afternoon a bloody tough one. How anyone can suggest such actions shouldn't be properly punished is also unbelievable. It's disappointing to think that, as someone said earlier, if this was P**pey fans people would be saying this wasn't long enough. Who can honestly say they believe people have been jailed for being on camera throwing one coin? That just doesn't happen. Rose tinted galsses or not, violence between men at a sporting event that attracts kids and families is not healthy and should be punished in a society. And a £50 fine and a tap on the wrist won't do the trick. The idea of a punishment is to decrease such actions in the future by the individuals punished and to send out a message to others. This, you'd like to think, will do both.

Cover well and truly blown..sorry about the confusion guys, I will soon be implementing a very fair installment plan to suit everyone. And I'm going to try to look less like a Bond villain from now on to boot

What he said, grown men throwing a hissy because they need to borrow £400 from a bank instead of using the clubs own chosen credit company. F**k me some people have to live through earth quakes, civil war, terminal diseases and the like, grow a pair and take some responsibility.

Used to every week when some fast striker was running direct at Claus, bless him. One game I even made it to the toilet..... -
Whoever voted for Wotton is funnier than Alan Partridge

Hayden Mullins would be a fantastic signing. Lets not forget that we are one of the richest clubs in the country. Barring the improbability that the men at the top walk to leave us high and dry we WILL go up next campaign. So why the hell not buy someone with experience in CM battles? I agree with the previous poster who questions peoples ability to realise the potential that a 'run of the mill' prem player has in league 1, even at the age of 31. Anyone who suggests he is not a decent footballer simply hasn't seen him play the game. I'm not saying he's a world beater but to get out of league 1? YES PLEASE.

Is the system asking for all the relevant season ticket numbers or are the tickets just available without all that information?i know its supposed to be certain number per season ticket etc etc but if ppl buying in transactions of say 20, 30 tickets surely all these season ticket numbers are not being asked for?so if you have access to online sales and a season ticket its a free for all?!surely not...

How many of our league opposition this season have had a keeper that looks as good all round as KD? 1st post ever on here, I had to chip in on this one. Comparing him to James is ridiculous. We are in league 1. Since establishing himself in the 1st team at Saints he has been one of the most reliable players at the club. Bart is good, KD is better. And much more experienced. His relationship with his back 4 rarely looks anything but assured. The advantage is with the opposition if your defence allows a keeper to have to deal with a one on one. Simples.
