  1. I work with a huge Reading fan who seemed to think today that a load of their fans had been in Southampton since 1pm.. In my experience, football fans being in an opposing city for that long through an afternoon normally leads to.. Lets say.. Friendly banter!
  2. My thoughts exactly. That game wasn't actually massive for us- in fact to add to your point, how demoralising was that game for WHU? They gave it a good go v Birmingham only to come up short, and see Reading ride their luck away from home against a decent side and win 0-1.
  3. No because even if we had a go and lost by the odd goal, we have shown this season we're good enough to go up and will still finish in the top 2. It would be nice to have a go at the win which is exactly what we will do. We need not be scared of anyone.
  4. Agreed. Arguably the biggest of the championship games so far this season at Brighton- Win for Reading, you'd fancy the top 2 big time, win for B'ton it's really hotting up to the finish line for 2nd place and would boost brighton again for playoffs. This excitement compared to Dalglish's bore merchants and Blackburns long ball/long throw fest... Ps, fully expect to witness a 4-4 at Ewood park now!!
  5. Hammond had more ball than almost anyone on the pitch and if it wasn't for 2 outrageous goals would have been a key part in a comfortable win today. Agree Morgan is important but Hammond was absolutely excellent yesterday IMO. Dictated the first half.
  6. That's right. Superb player but when in centre forward territory is unsure what to do. But to dive against anyone is tragic.

    Guly

There was no fault today. Portsmouth will never score 2 such outrageously excellent goals in a game. In fact the whole team did its job in limiting the skates to such chances, just an amazing situation where we somehow failed to take 3 points. Guly was s..t again, same as Fratton but as stated SDR is, IMO, more hopless still and Chaplow not fit or firing since injury. No point taking Falque on loan if he's not even going to make the squad at a time when the team is struggling on one wing of the pitch..
  8. Apparently, the gossip from Villa Park is that Emile Heskey has started telling Andy Carrol jokes.
  9. Expect an article on the OS before the wkend explaining ticketing then.. Honestly believe this will be the one to go to for an away day promotion party.
  10. Now starting to wonder the same thing. We should be due a monster allocation and am really looking forward to this as I think it might be 'the one'.. Surprised a date hasn't been posted for ticket sales of this one, I'm excited already, booked the time off work months ago!
  11. Looks like he could be a real rock in the centre of defence. He won't be injury prone, the only question mark is over his agility.
  12. Non argument. Why, as fans of sfc, would they possibly want to at the current point in time?
  13. Why? I've never left before the final whistle and aside from the odd person disappearing for a birth/death/funeral/wedding etc I see no reason to leave. The exodus may be a fact but it wont stop me challenging its legitimacy.
  14. Seems unlikely this was the case for around 5000 people today. Look, I don't live, breathe, sleep Saints. I have a season ticket, go to 5/6 aways a season and feel this is enough time/money to dedicate to such a hobby. But on a sunny day, strengthening a grip on a premiership place for next season, barring something like you mention there is no reason to leave before the final whistle. Surely Saints are deserving of being clapped off by the WHOLE crowd at home this season, they're on the verge of successive promotions afterall.
  15. The fact he stayed to the end. HTH. Simples. Fan is short for fanatical. If you are fanatical you can stick it out for 90 minutes cant you? Maybe most who were leaving were the 'extras' who made up the difference between our average attendance and todays. Just a thought.
  16. Saw Adkins face, now I'm a believer, not a trace, of doubt in my mind.. COYR
  17. Ha.. Skate Paul Walsh seems a bit grumpy to be watching us win. Superb.
  18. WHU support/football/manager just s**t. No other word for it. Allardyce has nothing but swear words from the dugout and the fans have nothing but abuse for the team. You can stick your divine right for top flight football up your arses.. Come on saints, tonight might.. MIGHT.. be an absolute humdinger of an evening!
  19. Toss Hooiveld
  20. Dear oh dear. What a messy bunch. Makes the ugly inside look like a mensa forum ?
  21. If the alternative is listening to a f**king bitter Garth Crooks and bland Martin Keown on the BBC talking about football like it's as serious as a world war then give me Soccer Sat any day. Merson is the worst of the bunch on there though. Surprised to see a few ppl moaning about Charlie Nicholas, don't have any major problem with him myself.
  22. How about: "Too cool for a song, Too cool for a so-ong, Morgan Schneiderlin, Too cool for a song"
  23. How many roughly would that allow us at P'boro? Does anyone know?
  24. What a load of tosh. He hasn't said anything offensive at all. Offensive is monies outstanding to charities. They certainly have bigger things to worry about than this. He has voiced the opinion of every rational person. Anyone who claims he hasn't is just a politically 'correct' attention seeker. As for whether he should have done, when will people realise that they don't have to go seeking out peoples personal views on social media just to then cry about them? Of course PFC were going to have a deluded whine about it but I'd have thought given the injustice of some of the monies they owe everyone on here would be universally agreed that the situation is pretty laughable.
