  1. Not sure if that was in gest or if you missed the posts about him having previously been shot in the arse. Obviously, I don't condone shooting people in the arse - no matter how crap they are
  2. You're too kind Hate to hear how you'd describe Pompey...went there when they played Arsenal a few weeks ago, "interesting" ground and surrounding area to say the least. I think you'd be hard pushed to find a Norwich fan who thought it was a good idea to put Gunn in charge too...unfortunately fans don't make the decisions
  3. Hi all, I'm a Norwich fan living in Southampton...it seems you've summed up Semi already reading some of the comments. Basically, imo, when he can be arsed he can be a great asset going forward - no real skill, and his crossing is pretty shoddy at best, but his pace more than makes up for it. Defensively is another matter, maybe he lost a lot of confidence being in such an incredibly ****e side last season but he is usually average at best when defending...just seems generally nervous and tackling isn't his strong point. Overall, if he's awake and can be bothered he's a good player at this level, but if he's half asleep then he's far from it. After signing Martin he went down to our 3rd choice RB. Maybe a new start and short contract is the kick (or gunshot) up his arse that he needs, best of luck to him and Saints for the rest of the season though.
  4. What was he doing in Norwich? Not disputing what you say is correct, just wasn't around in the 80's and my sources (Wikipedia ) tell me nothing about him having anything to do with Norwich...certainly nothing important enough to warrant a conflict of interests. But then I'm a physics student. He studied Physics. Maybe I should declare my conflict of interests and have no say in the matter (meant in jest)
  5. Norwich fan in peace here...consider myself a semi-saint in that I like Saints to do well when it doesn't directly affect City, i'm at Soton Uni and try and make a few games a year - will be at the Burnley game tomorrow. Just wanted to clear up the point about NCFC's chief exec. being on the league board that made the points deduction - yes, he is, but he also declared his interest in the matter and had no vote in the decision : "The Board of the Football League made the decision yesterday but Canaries chief executive Neil Doncaster did not vote. “As one of the three Championship clubs representatives on the Football League board I along with the others seven directors discussed the Southampton situation at length,” he said. “I declared an interest as is proper to do so and did not vote on the Southampton question.” For what it's worth, I don't agree with points deductions in general, but think that if the league has decided that is the punishment they are giving then Southampton deserve it as much as any other club in administration. I don't think it is something that can be fought in court either, it is essentially a private members league and the people who run it can pretty much do what they like.
