  1. A man after my own heart
  2. Another deal nit-picking opportunity for some.
  3. We might look awful yet!
  4. I don't recall many silly costly mistakes at the end last season - certainly not compared with previous PL seasons.
  5. The "he has no Plan B" is just another tedious footballing cliche every fan levels at the manager of his/her team - usually after a loss or poor run of results. Most fans wouldn't spot a change in tactics if it smacked them in the face. Every manager, especially at the higher levels, is perfectly capable of switching tactics and Poch was no exception. Some managers are obviously better than others and also have better players to put it into practise - eg Mourinho and Chelsea.
  6. Ah yes - the mythical Plan B that no manager ever has.
  7. Well said. Always dreaded it when he played against us too. Will be a good foil for Pelle.
  8. Love to see Cork given a new deal. Very tidy player and hopefully Koeman will agree in due course.
  9. What on earth are you on about?
  10. Some seriously wild-ass speculation there. Who says Cork and Boruc are desperate to leave? Also if Fonte wanted to leave then there is no way that being offered the captaincy would have made any difference.
  11. Admittedly based solely on one friendly - Taider is a very tidy footballer. I was impressed anyway!
  12. It's the station before that's not safe (both in and out)
  13. Don't agree - so that's that settled then.
  14. Been driving in France all day so just picked up this thread with no prior information or whether it is fact or fiction. Personally I don't agree with some of the observations belittling his credentials. He would be a very good addition to the squad and a proven PL striker. Obviously if the fee is accurate it's a bit jaw dropping - but if Hull want to keep him and we want to prize him away, stupid money is the order of the day.
  15. Isn't this the same article as that posted on the existing MS thread. I take everything Wilson says about Saints with a tiny pinch of salt - isn't he a Saints fan? But anyway, stretching the truth to say that Saints have warned him about his career with France - that is all just speculation from Wilson himself.
  16. I hope you are right, but from what I have seen so far I am not totally convinced that Pelle is the answer. I just can't see him scoring at Liverpool. Desperately hope I am proved wrong - will be following with interest from the middle of nowhere in France.
  17. Sadly, I don't think either of these things are that likely to happen.
  18. Isn't that the game where one of their strikers went round our goalie in injury time and then turned away to celebrate an unlikely 4-3 comeback win, only for the ball to hit the post and roll back to the keeper? Chris Jones I think.
  19. Hilarious gutted they didn't quote any of my outstanding posts
  20. The Echo report does little to settle the debate: http://thegoldstonewrap.com/2014/04/29/view-from-the-dell/ apart from some Alan Ball effort hitting the bar allegedly.
  21. Of course they wouldn't - but they didn't mention an end. They just said it was in the last minute (but it wasn't). We were kicking towards to Milton Road end in the second half, and it was a fair bit through the second half when it happened. As I said, we may also have hit the post in the first half - but the Tony Funnell effort was at the Milton end.
  22. Osgood was a pretty jaw dropping moment for me as well. I named our new kitten "Ossie" even though it was a female
  23. Ah yes - football violence, great days indeed
  24. 'Fraid not. He may have hit the post in the first half - can't remember. But the post incident in the second half was at the Milton end - as correctly referred to in the Spurs article.
  25. You are obviously quite young That aside, I don't think Le Tissier can be counted as a "signing".
