He said a bit more than that, most notably the fact that we would be looking down at the relegation zone/teams in the coming weeks wondering how on earth we were ever involved - or words to that effect
What club officials would be saying this sort of thing in corporate hospitality? Is corporate hospitality where secrets are shared or something? I have been in CH many times and we have never had club officials visiting to let us in on their big secrets
Roger you do have an uncanny knack of making yourself sound a bit simple.........(waits for some insulting riposte involving painters called Turner )
Decided to fly up yesterday and since there were only 2 seats left I guess there will be a few of us going the same way. I can't imagine Southampton to Newcastle is normally full on Sunday.
I have a lot of time for both guys but I would take their negative comments about the chairman with a pinch of salt. They are not exactly objective.
...and in answer to to the OP - no!
Can't agree with any of this. What he did to score was exactly what you'd expect any of our players to do to get on the score sheet. No cheating involved at all IMHO
Terry has been a top class defender and is still well worthy of a place in the England team and virtually all premier league teams.
Davis was interviewed in the lounge afterwards and said that Boruc was a bit pale and wobbly at half time but he still didn't know he was on until the bell went for the second half
More recently the game at the Dell where we went 2-0 up. They came back to 2-2 and the Chelsea fans started signing "2-0 and you f**ked it up" - only for Beattie to fire in a long range free-kick just before the end......cue chants of "2-2 and you f**ked it up"
Oh - and the 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge on New Years Day.
