Popped down to see his mum

Do you really think there are top quality strikers out there sitting around waiting for somebody to come up with a loan deal for them? I am sure the club know the type(s) of players they want, but you cannot just conjure them out of thin air. Who in their right mind is going to let their striker(s) go in this window if they are genuine quality (unless they are in an untenable Osvaldo-esque situation or going to command a hugely inflated fee)?
-
What is wrong with cost cutting anyway? Doesn't matter how wealthy you are, it is still a bit daft they spend money you don't need to. What is the point of paying wages for players that will never make any impact on the progress of the club? Who is better for our future, Sam Gallagher or lee Barnard? Osvaldo is a different scenario. If he had been banging in goals Negredo style for half a season then his departure would be a big loss. As it happens, I doubt we will notice the difference - and it is highly unlikely there is a player of the right quality/profile to replace him available in this window.
-
You don't know either then
-
Out of interest, why did we sell him? Did he have another fall-out or did he request a move?

I can confirm that one of these statements in correct, another is definitely wrong and, based on this, the other looks like a complete guess

Sorry - you cannot be ITK with spelling like that!

"their".....sorry, it was bugging me

What, the donating to charity bit?

Sunderland, despite recent results, are nowhere near as an accomplished team as Saints - sorry if that sounds arrogant, but I happen to think its true. Does that mean we will stroll into the next round? No, of course not.....but I think we will go through, possibly after a replay.
-
Eh?
-
Absolutely not - there is nothing mediocre about our football and league position at the moment......and it is precisely our position of relative safely that will enable us to make a decent fist of winning a cup in the near future. The stress of a relegation battle is horrible, even if it means (in this hypothetical scenario) that you have a cup final sweetener.
-
Mmmm, something I would like to do, but I don't think I would find it possible when Saints are playing. Watching a game as a neutral would be much easier - but I would probably get bored.

You jumped the gun - keep up mate

Wow - I hate these cliffhangers. What do you think will happen??

The only flaw in that is that you have not named enough subs

Oh! We owe them one mind you. -
Looked pretty decent I thought. Great touch for a big lad, and decent turn of pace. Skinned the defender for his goal too. Not sure what his head-butts are like mind.....
