  1. "The real reason....." What a load of apocryphal nonsense. Sounds like "Unbelievable" has a mate who not only is high up in the club (yeah right) but also posts on a Facebook page that Glasgow has access to!
  2. Have you completely taken leave of your senses, or are you just delighted to have an opportunity to spout negative tripe just because we lost a 5th round cup tie. I really cannot get my head around all this hysterical reaction. I was feeling pretty pi $ $ ed off about the events earlier today for a couple of hours - but that's about it. Anyone would think we just sunk to the bottom of the league. You are behaving like a spoiled brat IMHO
  3. I doubt he is miserable. He is probably masochistically delighted that the events of the day have given him justification to spout an abnormally (even for him) large amount of made up hysterical nonsense.
  4. Cannot disagree with much of that. I think the team selection could have been better though - for example the team we had for the last 30 minutes should have started perhaps?
  5. How many different devices are you going to post from tonight Miserable? By the way, agree with a lot of your OP FWIW
  6. Having Glasgow on "Ignore" is useless when people keep quoting him....but I can forgive anyone who uses this phrase to describe him
  7. Ridiculous - almost everyone is disappointed but it hardly registers as a low point compared to events in our recent history. The fact that it happened today is clouding your judgement. I'm over it already.
  8. Ok I have finally decided. I can't stand it anymore. Glasgow becomes the first poster I have ever put on "ignore". Makes up a Facebook rumour then bangs on about it every other post trying to get bites....and Alpine has gone for it hook line and sinker (that bit is no surprise).....then makes up a "club insider" rumour also. Jeez
  9. Not totally - powder-puff tackle by Wanyama too
  10. When you are 8th and safe, the priority is the quarter-final of the FA Cup!
  11. Diabolical
  12. I do not believe what I have just seen. I could have scored that!
  13. Have we been drugged or something??
  14. Because, under no pressure, he gifted the ball straight to the opposition. We were all over the place after that, followed by Wanyama's powder puff challenge
  15. Yoshida and Wanyama need shooting for that FFS!!

  17. Did he? I don't remember that. Williams left in 1984 and Lawrie left in 1985. There was an infamous incident between Mark Wright and LM though.
  18. It makes a pleasant change doesn't it
  19. I am not disagreeing that it is a close squad - but I think the years can sometimes cloud your judgement. Who, out of the very close knit team that finished 2nd, "jumped ship for a few extra quid"? I think you are doing the players and management from that era a disservice. EDIT: to answer my own question, maybe Steve Williams thought he would do better at Arsenal... but who knows who might do a similar thing in the coming close season.
  20. I like the sentiment, but I am pretty sure we have had loads of close knit squads over the years....especially using the OPs timescale of 40+ years. I don't think it's something particularly unique to the current bunch - and unless you are personally involved it's difficult to tell for sure how close everyone is. I do agree that those that were involved in the relegations and subsequent promotions are likely to have a particularly good bond however.
  21. Very much doubt we will sell Shaw in the Summer tbh
  22. You can't say "methinks" on here (note: it is one word) - it upsets StKnowle

    Boruc

Well his name has come up here once or twice, so add him to what?

    Boruc

Errm, ever watched the goals Lua Lua scored in the infamous 4-1 drubbing at Fratton Park in the year we got relegated?? One of them was an absolute howler by Niemi that effectively finished the game as a contest and secured our place in the bottom three. Makes a debatable minor mistake in a relatively unimportant 2-2 draw with Stoke seem a tad insignificant. Both Niemi and Boruc are great keepers. Personally I prefer Niemi, but don't tell me he was flawless.
