Does anyone still believe we will be competitive?

Do you know this for a cast iron fact or is it just that you can't remember any? -

Well let's revisit that if we lose 5 or 6 first team players - and I very much doubt that will happen despite these "rumours" to which you allude. Even if we did, a decent manager with that sort of war chest should be able assemble a decent squad. Stop getting all worked up about rumours and see what the actual facts are when the season starts. -

Isn't it too early to tell? Can we at least wait and see who the manager is and what the players in/out are? I know it all feels like one way traffic at the moment but things will/might feel a whole lot better with a decent managerial appointment. Lots of clubs have had to get over the sales of their top players but they don't all just collapse as a result. -
Are Liverpool buying lambert just to unsettle the ship?

Will do -

Very astute?? Surely you are not serious? -
That's blown it - damn! So next you are going to tell me that JFK didn't commit suicide?
-
-
Yeah I am totally convinced this must be true. I am also convinced that JFK committed suicide.

A marque signing to attract a decent manager? Something tells me it doesn't quite work like that.

Poor old Batman is in a right state. Starting random whining hysterical threads every day now
-
This forum is in meltdown. The football club probably isn't.
-
Got no problem with him so far tbh. I will wait to see who we start the season with (manager and players) before chucking stones at either him or the board in general.
-
Sorry - but I can make no sense of that post at all. If (big if) it's a very good offer for a 32 year old striker and it's his dream move, then I would not begrudge him it. Charity doesn't come in to it.
-
Not in any interview that I saw (maybe I missed one). He did say it would be preferable, but not categoric. Besides, if we had an acceptable offer for Lambert to return to a club he loves and he wants to go, why stop it just because a new manager has not been appointed yet?
-
Don't be such a hysterical tart!
-
What lie would that be then? He said that if players go it will be on our terms only. He did not say that we won't sell anyone - full stop.
-
Deary me - another chicken licken thread
-
Just as an aside, you cannot sack somebody and then go and make public statements about it (other than to say that is has been done - which they did). There are all sorts of legal issues to consider, not least of which is the possibility of a case of wrongful dismissal being brought etc
-
You can't be serious? Great bloke, but bleeding red and white is no qualification for managing in the EPL. Apart from a few months as assistant manager at Southend he hasn't even managed at any level in the football league yet has he?
-
Moyes or Lambert acceptable?? Each to his own I guess....
-
So if I understand you correctly, "this whole catalog of events" is the sole responsibility of Gaston Ramirez and Dani Osvaldo?
-
Spell at Forest wasn't so great either
-
I would be mortified with Moyes as well as those you've mentioned.
-
To be fair, you've got a bit of history where pessimistic doom and gloom posts are concerned.
-
I have checked. Can't find much to support that statement so you are going to have to help me out. All this board bashing is a tad premature IMHO
