As it stands, we do not need a CVA because SFC is not in administration.
-
....assuming we actually score any.
-
I could do with some of whatever you are drinking right now. Babysitting is a drag when the missus is out on the lash.
-
Well you may be right - but I think you are talking complete nonsense. If they had found something dodgy then the FL would already know about it regardless.
-
Realistic, sceptical, pessimistic etc etc, all words that amount to the same thing - you have no idea....and nor do most of us. Whatever your view of RL, I seriously doubt that there would be any serious financial irregularities while he was running the show, so if there are any it would have been while he was shooting ducks. Of course, it is just my more optimistic view on matters.

Why?

Should your location really be "Watching Premiership football...until all our players leave and we get relegated with more debts that British Airways" ?
-
...but that doesn't enlighten me (sorry). Yes, MJ may well be all that you allude - and no I didn't see his posts (what is his user id?). My only experience of MJ is the video of that interview prior to the (not) take-over of Bournemouth and I agree that he may as well have had "I am a c n u t" tattooed on his forehead. None of this tells me anything of the group that he and Green are alledgedly fronting. It could be that his name is just associated with this group by the press because he is the only name they know. For all I know the rest of the group also think he is a c n u t and want him to go away. So, excluding MJ from the equation, what do you know about the people involved in this bid that leads you to believe that it is a disaster waiting to happen?
-
...and where does it come from?
-
But why? What do you know that (I at least) do not? I watched the video of that infamous interview that MJ did and I thought he looked and sounded a complete ***** to whom I would not give the time of day. However, I also am led to believe that he is merely associated with the bid rather than being an integral part of it. There is no evidence to suggest that his role would go any further should this group win control of the club. I certainly would not be announcing that I would be boycotting SFC matches if a group of people (who I now **** all about) purchase the club - so what do you know that I don't? Please enlighten me.

Spent 3 hours at the fun day with the missus and our three kids - and spent an f**king fortune! Finally had to leave due to starvation though (that and it all started to pack up). Couldn't see the bands because it was too loud for the littlun. A couple of the "Prize every go" stalls were £2.50 a pop - anyone know what proportion of that actually goes to the club? I kept paying for the kids to have a go assuming it was all going into the same pot, but presumably some covers the prizes - or did these stalls just pay for a pitch (which goes to the club) and pocket the £2.50 themselves? If the latter, I am a bit peeved. That aside, big thumbs up for the organisers. I hope it raises a decent sum but I cannot help thinking it will be a drop in the ocean.

Did you start this thread (in this way) with a view to fixing the alledged division, or with a view to making it even worse? Surely what you describe is known commonly as a difference of opinion, without which most fan-based forums like this would be a waste of bandwidth.
-
At last! I was beginning to despair at the thought of anyone else piping in with the same view as me.
-
Yeah - won't that be great. Anyway, back to the homework....
-
To be fair, you have changed your tune - because your original post *did* say that you wanted them to put some money in, with a pop directly at Surman for not doing so despite being a fan (which he is). That aside, I happen to agree with you that it is not unreasonable to have expected at least some of the players to be showing their faces this weekend and contributing their time in some way. Maybe they are worried about getting grief over their wages.

I apologise if this has already been posted, but the BBC Sports article now has the full recorded interview with Lynam for you to listen to, which is a bit more revealing than the snippet on the original Solent News bulletin: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...on/8055407.stm I wonder who "ran away" !! :-)

I stopped trawling through everything when the arguments and slanging matches kicked in, so apologies if this has already been posted, but the BBC Sports article now has the full recorded interview with Lynam for you to listen to, which is a bit more revealing than the snippet on the original Solent News bulletin: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8055407.stm

Wessex League - Ground share with Eastleigh - Team made up of Eastleigh loan players who aren't quite up to their first team yet.

See what you have started Slick? Anyway, the 15:00 news bulletin on Solent makes no mention of Saints at all. We are no longer news worthy.
-
OK, maybe you aren't after all.
-
It said "The future plunged into fresh doubt. Fry told Solent that they (Pinnacle) have failed to deliver. Unlikely a transaction will be completed." Lynam (in broad Hampshire) said "if he thought a deal could not be done he would have packed his bags long ago". He then went off to do so.
