  1. She has obviously inherited your (in)ability to recognise and name any footballer whatsoever.
  2. Now I am embarassed for you, and must refer you to my previous reply.
  3. There is ample evidence on this forum that it is very difficult for anyone to get the points you try to make. I only had an inkling because I know you. When communication via the written word is not one's forte then it is best to do more reading and less writing.
  4. The best post I have seen so far on any thread said "This thread is so bad I am ashamed I clicked on it". Certainly applies here - and when it gets down to "my thread is better than yours" arguments then there is no hope.
  5. Sadly I think you got rid of more than that....
  6. I think you want this thread: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=13300 On the attendance front, it does sound a little disappointing but then there are other events still to take place. I don't know what the total takings will be (or what they were expected to be) but I think that the organisers and all those that have supported the event(s) by taking part should be congratulated. I think it might end up being a drop in the ocean though, and we can't do this every week that a buyer is not found either.
  7. I think that you'll find that is a different thread entirely. I was a number 8 or flanker actually, although I did have to play in the second row on rare occasions. These days its 5-a-side football and golf. I keep trying to get OoohTerryHurlock down to my club for the latter, but he is worried he won't pass the Pro's competency check
  8. Not sure that it will be possible to tell. I only managed the "fun day" bit with the family and to be honest I expected to see more people there than I did. I am not sure what the expectation was for this bit - somewhere between 500 and 1000 people I guess. If there was a steady trickle in and out throughout the afternoon then it may have got somewhere near that perhaps? I wonder if the organisers will publish the final takings? I am hoping that a large percentage of the money I kept chucking at those "win a prize" stalls went to the club (allowing for the cost of the prizes of course).
  9. I am more of a "weekly 5-a-side and golf" man these days, but I would certainly have a bash at one of these events if it ever comes about again.
  10. Except you of course. Not losing your virginity until you were in your thirties has got to tell you something. Now, if I were you and nickh, I would stop eating all the pies and get back on to the real subject of this thread.
  11. Yet another hilarous quip. I can barely contain myself.....I've definitely got to get a seat somewhere else next season.
  12. Mmmm, then if I were you I would get a modelling job. You may earn enough for a keyboard that works with an integrated spell checker.
  13. What on earth are you babbling on about?
  14. Pathetic drivel as usual.
  15. Thats rich - I would imagine somebody with your looks would keep well clear of the "ugly" gags ;-)
  16. Slightly sweeping statement methinks. Some - perhaps, but not all. I actually think DMG did OK last year for his first full season, but he did my head in sometimes with those pointless attempts at showboating when we need him to actually get under and pass it, not to mention the "back pass" penalties. Still, I would prefer him in our squad next year than in somebody elses.
  17. ...and not even his own work
  18. ....****, time for another Cognac. I know I am going to feel like **** in the morning. I spent all afternoon spending money at the Save our Saints fun day and came away feeling like it was a drop in the ocean. The last £3.00 I spent was on face painting for my 5 year old. She walked out, tripped over, cut her hand and knee, bawled her eyes out and the paint ran down her face - ruined. "I hate this place" she cried through the tears, "I never want to come back". My nine year-old postulated "Don't worry, it won't be here next year". Then they stared in astonishment while daddy joined in the crying
  19. I will once we managed to fulfil our first fixture in L1 - actually make that "I will once we manage to win our first fixture in L1". I agree it is still an attractive job for somebody, as long as there is a club left to manage of course.
  20. We used to do just that back in the late nineties when there was a thing called "Internet Saints" (still have the T-Shirt). I am sure Dave "somebody or other" used to run it. It was a purely e-mail based forum based on some old Plesk-based mailing list I think. Anyone remember this?
  21. I can't think beyond next week in SFC terms, let alone who we might be playing in L1 next year. Just to be playing in L1 will be a blessing IMHO - besides, we always lose to Gillingham whenever we have to play them.
  22. I take all that on board and I appreciate the enlightenment - but still I harp back to the fact that I have seen no evidence to suggest that he is anything other than a go-between and/or a label used by the Echo to talk about this group in print (MJ and Green to be precise). In other words, if this group successfully acquire SFC, there is nothing to suggest he will be involved in the running of the place. I guess what you are saying is that his very involvement even at this stage means that it is all likely to be the figment of his imagination or something - but surely when the Administrator does due diligence on the potential bidder it must involve some proof of funds before he will give them the time of day? All that aside, I am currently sceptical that there really is a real buyer out there that can really step up to the plate. I expect MLT is either still quietly confident or he is wishing he had never heard on Pinnacle.
  23. Very true of course. They have stretched their own rules to meet these ( until now ) unusual circumstances, so they may well stretch them further. However, I think that if a CVA is required by SLH to avoid a further deduction AND we get a buyer then I think SLH will get a CVA. It is usually only HMRC that veto a CVA isn't it? I don't think HMRC are a major creditor of SLH based on what I have seen. Not sure what posts you have been reading to draw that conclusion? I know he takes the view that we will incur more points, but I don't see any posts advocating sucking the FL collective dicks.
