  1. ....said as if you have always maintained this to be the case, or just to highlight the deviation from the recent press releases?
  2. "The proof of the pudding is in the eating." ;-)
  3. I think it was outsourced long ago - this is probably just a cheaper option.
  4. So the Echo got there before nickh got his call. We have not been wound up (except by this thread possibly) and he has set a date for another meeting with the staff next Friday!! Can't wait for another week of speculation and stress.
  5. How so? It is not that simple is it? This is not a case of sticking them on e-bay with a "buy it now" option!
  6. If the meeting is to say that SFC has been wound up then what do you think? Who knows, maybe it is just to tell them that they are changing their coffee supplier.
  7. How do you know? I was interested to read in todays Echo article that the Irish bidders had alledgedly pulled out yesterday, but then alluded to them changing their minds. Whatever happened yesterday, surely it would have been too late to have an impact on the wages today?
  8. Why are the next 24 hours any more crucial than the next 48 hours, or the next 2.655 hours? Or do you just like posting clichés?
  9. Oh dear :-( ....I wonder who is paying for the web hosting?
  10. Of course you want to. Sad thing is that I was chucking money around at Save our Saints under the naive assumption that the money raised would avoid something like this. I guess the timing was just not right.
  11. Are any of them staff and are any of them likely to tell you the outcome of the aforementioned midday meeting?
  12. I wonder if any of the staff post on here or know somebody that does. Presumably Nickh got this info from somewhere and not from his tea leaves.
  13. lol - defo "couldn't". Could you?
  14. ....rather than get some reimbursement? I doubt it.
  15. Seems like there may be some good points in there - I just couldn't understand any of it. Translation please.
  16. I think he had it back for a while at SOS. If he had any sense he would have slipped away with it still in his pocket.
  17. Errr, no! At least not me anyway. I just thought they were advertising one of these memorabilia fairs.
  18. I don't think that is an option. This just means that SFC ceases to exist - there is no option for it to go into admin when its parent company is already in admin is there?
  19. Very interesting - but so what? Nobody suggested that they don't develop players too.
  20. Why? Based on his vast experience in the field of football I suppose?
  21. I thought it was always one very wealthy individual accompanied by one or more less wealthy mukkas. I also believe that some have come and gone after being frightened off by the finances required.
  22. Get real. Comparing Saints to Barcelona is like comparing MS Notepad to MS Word. I agree that we can emulate some of their values perhaps, but their structure and wealth is geared around a fan base and income that will always dwarf a provincial outfit on the south coast of England. They get their income from a source that we will never have. Using Spain as an example, we would be better off emulating the likes of Espanyol who have done well despite being in the shadow of their illustrious neighbours.
  23. I somehow think there is more to it than taking a few tips - like being able to afford the best players in Europe for example.
  24. .....like survive.
  25. Perhaps your hearing was better in those days :-)
