Hysteria or hysterical Al?
-
Which Monday paper are these Fonte revelations in then?
-
That was the FA Cup not the League Cup, wasn't it?
-
Good question! Would it be naive of me to hope that we sign an equally talismanic figure? More to the point, who is going to take the penalties? I bet the next one we get ends up in row z. PS: Isgrove or JWP? Not serious are you?
-
Probably going to be a mountain out of a molehill - we'll see.
-
Why wait for Monday. If you know something why not just come out and say it now. It'd do your street cred a world of good

Excuse my ignorance, but what definition of "genius" are you using here when you say this?
-
Fair enough. Personally, and at the risk of needing to eat my words when the new manager is appointed, I am quite happy with the way they have handled things thus far. They have been true to their word with regard to refusing to bow to pressure to sell before a manager is appointed (if they sell at all). I am disappointed about Lambert, but I understand the reasons for it. I also have no problem with Krueger or Reed for that matter as things stand. Believe me, my head is nowhere near the sand.

I think you ruined it all with point number 5. Up until that moment it sounded plausible, but then you went into spiteful vitriolic mode and lost the audience.

It wasn't that fantastic tbh

Will Saints ever be a "bigger fish in the sea"?
kpturner replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
......but anyway, have Man City really spent £1bn (£1000,000,000) ?? I find that very difficult to believe but I am sure somebody will post a link to prove otherwise. -

Try telling that to them....or us..... It still a million million for me. They'll be telling us to spell colour without a "u" next -

A real billion is a million million for those of us who like tradition. In the States it is a thousand million. -

A real £1bn or an American £1bn? -
The best thing the Board can do right now is.......
kpturner replied to Block34's topic in The Saints
Definitely worth a new thread. I can see why you just didn't post it on one of the other many threads about our current situation. -
I don't think the two scenarios are remotely similar tbh
-
Well I think it was a good post, whereas yours is not - IMHO of course. Please tell me what the board are doing at the moment that smacks of incompetence? There may be plenty of reasons to think that in the coming weeks, but at the moment they are playing it quite well. Given the current situation, what would you have them do differently?

Fantastic news. Made my day if true.
-
I don't give this thread long - unless the mods always take Sunday off.

My feelings exactly. Unfortunately, however, trying to be sensible on here will not turn the heads of those determined to peddle the meltdown scenarios. Blackmore has just made himself took a bit foolish IMHO - but it has been great for people wanting to find somebody to blame for their own personal feelings of insecurity. I dread to think what it would be like to be a Norwich, Cardiff or Fulham fan right now - or Bristol Rovers even. They'd love to be in our position despite the uncertainty.

Does anyone still believe we will be competitive?

I knew somebody would do it for me -

Now you are just being facetious -

Do yourself a favour and stop dreaming up doomsday scenarios. Enjoy the Summer, the cricket and the World Cup . Liverpool bid £25m for Lallana today allegedly. On one hand that is ridiculous money - you could replace him with top quality even after handing 25% to Bompey. On the other hand, as far as I know we have snubbed it. There are positives in either scenario. I don't believe we will sell Lovren at all. The Shaw money falls into the same category as Lallana for me. -

Nope - just asked the question. As an aside, we have not lost four players, and if we eventually do we may break the pattern that you believe exists. There is no point in fretting about it.
