IMHO they both worked hard. DMG just let himself down every so often trying to showboat at a completely inappropriate point in the match, but I could not fault the effort he was putting in. Just goes to show, it is all about opinions.

The Poopey deal will go through one way or another. I hope so anyway - the rivalry is a good thing and it makes football more interesting to have a potential derby when the cup draw is made etc. I just wish we could eradicate the mindless vandalism and violence that has marred recent encounters (at Nottarf Krap anyway), most of which seemed to be caused by not by football fans but thugs rolling out of the pubs at the final whistle.

Doesn't that sort of attitude just show scant regard for what might be best for Wotte? What did you expect them to say to him - "Mark, we are now looking to replace you, would you mind hanging around in limbo looking after the team while we find the right person? I am sure you have nothing better to do, like securing your future elsewhere"......or perhaps you think they should have pretended not to be looking for a replacement, i.e. keep it a secret from him and the rest of the planet until the replacement is found then bomb him out? Neither option sounds feasible to me, so the only option was to terminate his contract as soon as possible so that there is no ambiguity or underhandedness about any of it.
