Koeman's first Southampton press conference 11/7/14
kpturner replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Yes it does. Maybe you need an upgrade -
Corrected that for you

That sounds like an Americanism!
-
The latter would be nice, but I doubt we would find anyone who would part with £15m for him. Even we were not that daft were we? I'd be amazed if we to even break even on it by recouping the approx £12.8 we paid (give or take - allowing for the exchange rate differences).
-
Why is it that chants/songs by non-English clubs (especially Dutch, German, Turkish) all sound like they are coming from adult men with deep booming voices, whereas over here they all sound like prepubescent boys?
-
He has just posted the video but it doesn't mean he is there with him - but I guess you knew that already.

Things could be worse - your memories of 2007-2009

Although he turned out to be one of our better performers during that period of time. -
That's gooderer

I know of one other, maybe even two. Who wants to sound like an American anyway - makes me want to throw up Have a nice day!
-
I guess not - I wasn't really paying attention.
-
A couple of "newbie" pointers: 1) Always check your thread title for silly typos before posting 2) Never use Americanisms (like "my bad") - unless you are an American (to be honest, I may be the only one who gets irritated by it) 3) Never use "loose" when you mean "lose" (not that you have - just sayin') I will post some more as I think of them.........or you can ignore me. The latter option is probably best.
-
I saw this thread as a less public way of coming out, in the hope that it would filter through surreptitiously.
-
It doesn't rhyme very well does it.

I used to wet the bed until the age of 7 - there, I've said it. It feels good to be out at last.

Getting over the odds for both Shaw and Lallana was good business by the Board IMHO. OK, I know that the term "over the odds" is moot - a matter for debate. I just happen to have a different view to many, but I am not alone by any means. Lovren is making a big fuss, to the point that it might be better for everyone if he was sold - but I still think if we get over £20m that will also be a good deal financially - just not necessarily for Koeman. Let's see how it pans out (Lovren that is).
-
Cant find it either then? Ok here goes.....but beware of the recursive loop: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=saints+wanted+%C2%A335m+for+lallana&l=1
-
It isn't hard - when you are looking for something that exists. I cannot find anything that tells me as a matter of fact that we wanted £35m for Lallana. As I already stated, top of the results list was this thread!. However, as you have already found it easily it will save time if you just post the link.
-
I've a feeling there are some dead cool, eye-opening facts in the OP somewhere.
-
Actually, I just googled "saints wanted £35m for lallana" and ended up back on this thread. I guess its true then.
-
Just post the link then - the one that says we wanted £35m for Lallana will do. I'll take a read and decide if I think its fact or fiction. If I am totally honest, I did read an aticle about wanting £40m for Shaw back in June but dismissed it as nonsense. Are you saying you think it was true? I am going to have to take more notice of these articles if that is the case.
-
Well, actually it is very hard to find, so I'll stick to regarding it as speculative nonsense rather than fact. Thanks anyway.
-
"It was reported....." Yeah OK. Thanks Genuine request: Let me see the the report that says we wanted £40m for Shaw. Let me see the report that shows the breakdown of the Lallana deal - or even one that said we wanted £35m. I want to judge the sources for myself before accepting it as fact. I haven't even seen the report that says that we want £25m for Lovren yet, but then I don't read the papers much.
