100% this. All would be ideal.

Emmanuel Mayuka - Officially Signed on OS - Work Permit Confirmed
CWD replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
You want to have at least 2 or 3 players for every position. I think we have that covered now with regards to the front three. 2 Wide forwards from Mayuka, Guly, Lee, Puncheon and hopefully Ramirez. 1 central striker from Lambert, Rodriguez and Sharp. If you compare that to most other PL sides, it seems about the right strength in depth. 8 players for 3 starting positions can hardly be called excessive. They'll all have their part to play yet. -
Would love this to happen, he was quality last season

Thanks. I wonder where Nixon gets his info from, he really does seem well informed. -

I've been away for a few days, where was he linked? -
Well "a large number" isn't everyone is it? The best team many of us have experienced was under Strachan. This team certainly comes close to that one for me.
-
Cautiously excited....

I was watching in a pub in Edinburgh and hugged a random Scottish Man Utd fan when Lambo scored. After the second goal he legged it down the length of the pub to have another one. Shame we couldn't hold on but proud of the lads. Guly and Cyne were class.
-
Sharp in for Lambert I reckon. Makes perfect sense to me, Billy is on fire.
-
I went to school in Portsmouth, so most of my best mates are skates. I hate their club with a passion, but the majority of their fans are normal people. Hard for SWF members to comprehend I know!
-
But if we win loads of games, we'll just be promoted again. I'd rather we just kept losing and played in ever lower leagues. Idiot.
-
1-0 to Citeh with an injury time winner. "brave performance, they'll be fine if they keep that up" say the pundits. We then lose to Wigan the following week.
-
Yeah I was, sorry, should've made that clearer.
-
My Dad and JWP's Dad know each other through work. John is still a Pompey fan but understood from the word go that we were the better choice. Clever bloke
-
A good performance, although I'm a little concerned that our 451/433 means we lack a bit of incisiveness in the final third. Lambert looks a little overweight still and Fonte needs to cut these pointless errors out of his game. Clyne, JWP, Guly and Hooiveld stood out, Lallana also good second half.

Strange turn of events. Sounds like someone in the fax department has made a cock up!
-
I'm really pleased with who we've signed so far, and it's been proved time and time again that the team is more important than the individual. A world class player costs £30m but a good strong team spirit is priceless. The only thing I'm slightly concerned about is the lack of centre half. It may be 3 weeks til the season starts but every day that goes past is a day a new player could spend integrating with the squad. Right now we don't have anywhere near the quality we need in that position.

If we could, that would be a remarkably astute piece of business from NA. -
Any source to this other than Nixon?
-
Great news! I wonder if Butterfield will move on now. Having the competition can only up Richardson's game too.
-
Apparently he's already met up with the squad and is well in with banter. The initiation is to wear the club captain's underwear for a day. Kelvin's Clynes. I'll face palm myself to stop anyone else needing to

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18827637 buzsaky CDAJFU. Was excellent for QPR last season. Possibly a little old at 30? -
No we haven't, its still red and white. Just has less white on it this season.
-
As a shirt I absolutely love them both, they're smart, simple and classy, and as a pair they look bloody brilliant. I agree that it isn't "us", but I see what the club are going for with a new meaning to red and white army. The Lee/Rodriguez poster is quality!
