  1. Still haven't won on sky this season...
  2. Of course Rickie is the better player right now, but Benteke is far younger. I think honestly Benteke will be a far better player than Lambert in 6-8 seasons. Mostly because he'll have had the benefit of playing consistently at the highest level, which RL has sadly missed out on.
  3. If anyone had said this after the Arsenal away game, I'd have laughed in their face, but... Hooiveld, Fonte and Yoshida are all good enough for this league. Add Forren to that list and it looks like we have 4 strong CBs to start next season with.
  4. Harsh. Dannysfc is one of the most positive, likeable posters. Who cares if he struggles with grammar? Nobody's perfect.

  6. I actually think Cork can feel more hard done by than Lambert at not getting an England call up. Lambert is too old IMO, even though I do believe he's good enough. But if you look at the ages of the CMs in the squad at the mo, the likes of Gerrard and Lampard really only have one more big tournament left in them. Cork doing the dirty work alongside a more creative player like Wilshere or Cleverley could be a pretty potent partnership. Schniederlin is just class. Best player at the club, and Player of the Season so far for me.
  7. Bit harsh to be so negative about Richardson. Not had much have a chance this season, but was excellent for us in the NPC. He's a better full back than Fox. He can also put in decent crosses on a consistent basis, something Shaw and Clyne need to improve on.
  8. Some times it's been bad luck, some times poor defending. A number of reasons really. Also, what is wrong........with just......using......one full stop..........at a time?
  9. Yeah he's a Gosport lad, his parents still live there I think. Used to travel over to PGS on the ferry with my Dad, and while I was at the school he often came down for fundraisers and prize givings. Really nice guy. In fact, my Dad still claims he's the reason behind Roger's success. At a sports day when he was about 14, he ran the 400m in a really quick time. Afterwards my Dad said to him, "Roger, that was really good, you should think about doing that professionally". The rest is history!
  10. He's only young, and it's his first season in a new country. Yes he has been poor recently but there's no need to write him off completely. I seem to remember people doing that with a young Morgan Schniederlin in his first season...
  11. With you on that.
  12. We had them worried and deserved a point. Must go and beat Wigan now.
  13. I've heard from several sources that this 100% happening.
  14. Dunno, does the cup count?
  15. Rickie: £4m Punch: £4m (although likely to be around £2m due to contract ending) Morgan: £8m
  16. Have you been? Just one look at their trophy room and I was inspired, so god only knows what effect it'll have on young talented professional footballers...
  17. Neil McCan't
  18. Amazing for Bradford, absolutely brilliant. I don't want Villa to go down though, I think what they're trying to do there is great (and not dissimilar to NC's plans for Saints remember)
  19. Quite possible, although when I said that I was told it looked quite formal. Like I say, probably nothing, just an odd time to meet.
  20. I know it's not directly related to the thread but didn't feel it warranted one of its own. Jay Rod was at the Hilton last night after the game, having a meeting with 'an older man'. Probably nothing to it, but a bit of a weird time to be meeting someone? (It definitely wasn't Adkins apparently, before you ask)
  21. Who hasn't been giving them credit? They've been outstanding, and their partnership will only flourish as they get older. Two cracking players.
  22. Can someone summarise the conversation?
  23. I can't bear to read all the responses. I feel so upset at what's happened to our club today. Best of luck to pochettino but I hope Nigel gets a great job and becomes a world class manager. Good luck you wonderful man (I'm quite ****ed)
  24. 'Quite' even. Lol
  25. Really feel quiche emotional about this. Just don't know what to think.cdevastated for NA
