Erm half the squad are killed off in a tram crash and Adkins is found in bed with Cortese and Les Reed? -

Like dumping an girlfriend and then seeing her with your best mate. Want him back now! Seriously though good luck to him. Hope they stay up, but a long way behind us. -
Would be an excellent signing IMO. £6m is a fair amount, but his wages might be an issue. Isn't his brother Jake Sinclair the lad in our youth team?

When will we have our own tv station and/or alternative radio station to Solent

I expect if it does happen, it won't be until the contract with the 'player' (as in saintsplayer) suppliers is finished. I seem to remember that we're tied in with it for at least another year. -
March 30 Chelsea (H) WIN April 6: Reading (A) DRAW April 13: West Ham (H) DRAW April 20: Swansea (A) LOSE April 27: West Brom (H) WIN May 4: Tottenham (A) LOSE May 12: Sunderland (A) LOSE May 19: Stoke (H) WIN I still think we'll be consistently inconsistent, but 11 points should be enough.

Really great performance today, actually thought the first half hour was the best we've played this season. Nice to see Ramirez put in a classy performance, but most happy for Lallana. I was worried he'd gone off the boil after the injury but was back to his best today, MOTM. Thought Clyne was brilliant as well. Also, how good is Rodriguez' first touch? Such good control.

Two CBs and no striker on the bench is a bit odd. Worried about Sturridge and Suarez v Hooiveld...

I don't get it...?

When our players are putting in dominating performances regularly in the PL, then and only then should they be called up to play for England.

Most depressing build up thread ever. We'll get a draw I reckon, 1-1. (Although we'll play really well and deserve better obviously)

Norwich City 0-0 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction
CWD replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
The game deteriorated as the conditions got worse. I felt we should have abandoned our passing game and gone a bit more direct in the last 10 - 15 mins. It will be a travesty if we do go down having put in some of the performances we have, however good performances don't win you anything. We have to have a plan B that makes us a little more dangerous. We seem quite slow to counter attack under MP, whereas our opposition are quick to get behind our defence, filling the gaps left by our attacking fullbacks. QPR scored from it, and Norwich came close today. We rarely get to the byline, but when we do we look dangerous. We need to attack with more pace. Positive note: If you'd offered me the position we're in now at the start of the season, I'd have bitten your hand off. -
Fonte just gone on about how we dominated the game. Well we dominated possession Jose but we didn't look like scoring for the entire second half.
-
This is what I'm concerned about, we just surprised teams. Now they can study us it seems fairly easy to counter.
-
Haha you're not helping my mood!
-
I think teams might be starting to work us out. Long ball game and a couple of clinical finishes. Need a plan B and soon.
-
Erm... Might be being thick... Who are you talking about?
-
We cannot keep resting on the fact that we're playing better than the opposition. Not deserving to lose doesn't win us any points. Very very poor performance today. We've dropped so many points this season that we shouldn't have, and I'm starting to think it might cost us a place in the league. Villa and Wigan really need to have shockers now.
-
Great news, deserves a chance with the French squad. Such a good player.
-
Shaw is outstanding, but he was playing poorly on Sunday and looked in danger of being sent off. It made sense to take him off, injury or not.
-
Yeah but for the first few mins we were the better side, and then we scored. Bit harsh to say against the run of play. And I'm not being disingenuous, because clearly I'm talking about more games than just today.
-
This is starting to become a real issue now IMO. I hope we don't end up looking back over the season and thinking 'we'd have stayed up if only we'd held on there...'. Reminds me on 04/05. The main problem, which was particularly evident today, seems to me to be that we play really well, score a goal, and then don't kick on. Both goals today came after a few minutes a high intensity, high tempo football, but seconds after the goal we look to be on the back foot again. I've lost count of the amount of games I've watched this season and said "looks like us scoring has given the opposition a kick up the arse". FWIW I still firmly believe we'll stay up, but I think it needs addressing.

Newcastle 4-2 Southampton // Post-Match Reaction
CWD replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Newcastle look a good side to be fair. Played us at our own game by pressing us high up the pitch and we couldn't cope for long periods. Clyne and Shaw were poor as they had no time on the ball, same for Cork. Not really much you can do about an OG like that, hard to blame Fox or Hooiveld. However would still bring Fonte back in next week. Sissoko is a cracking player. -
I think we'll draw, which provided we beat QPR next week, would be a good result. 1-1, Jos to get off the mark for the season.
-
Bit of fun. When do you reckon MP will conduct his first full press conference entirely in English? I'm going for the last game of the season, before we play stoke. So on about the 17th May.
