Coppell is who i'm putting my money on for sure. Just look at what he did for Reading...would be an awesome manager in my opinion and with the financial backing would do a great job!! Plus he'd pursuade Lita to sign if he's still a free agent!??

The main thing in this league is a massive centre back, massive centre midfielder and a massive striker. Perry and lancashire would get bullied in this league...Thomas would be ok but only if he can stay fit. I say a punt at Vincent Paricard would be good. would run all day and hustle L1 defences and force them into errors. Then someone with him you can finish in-front of goal! Just wanna know who the new manager is first...reports today say Shearer is interested but not sure he'll come here!!

At least this might give bialkowski or forecast a chance to prove themselves? Always thought Bialkowski was a good keeper and now he might be given a chance to develop even more. This is if the club dont buy another keeper...although i cannot think of anyone who might be better and want to drop divisions to come here? Bialkowski for number 1 i say!

this takes the p**s now! we all know that we are pretty much going to dissapointed on friday... we'll all the refreshing pages, txting friends asking if they have heard anything and listening to the radio only to hear 'the deal has hit another couple of issues and will be completed early next week'...only for that to end up being another couple of days!! This is getting stupid now, just want the club to be brought and for the owners to sort the club out and get us back to where we belong and where we were 5 years ago! Not sure being a saints fan has ever been so stressful!!!

c'mon the Swiss bid...this sounds so exciting... ...but begs to ask the question, why southampton?? So much debt and other than the nice stadium, good facilites and great fans, the team is in much need of investment!! Why not look to a club like Reading, Newcastle, Middlesborough, etc...just cannot see why they would want to buy a club who are a league below, more debt (possibly) and starting next season on -10 points! having said that i know this club has great potential and with rich owners the sky is the limit. Fans would flock back to watch the lads play and the club would make money. if i had the money to buy them i would have done a long time ago...i know how the club needs to be run and since we got relageted and maybe a long time before this the club has not been run properly in order to survive and become better and better. C'mon swiss bid, if you really wanna buy saints then do it, yo have the money so do it already...then get Gordon Strachan back as manager...everyone is happy!!!

Personally right now i'd take this for sure. Yeah if they changed the name of the team it would suck for sure but i dont think your allowed to just change the name of a team...otherwise we could have been called "Southampton flybe" and all sponsors would be changing their names of their teams! Like Chelsea would be called "Russian oil Chelsea"!! I think if this is true, which i doubt very much, then it would be awesome. Surely the players know what is going on and i cannot see Andrew Surman leaving if asuch a massive company was taking over!!!

SURELY Saints should have a word with the FA about the situation with the Football League. As far as i am concerned saints are being 100% shafted by the FL and surely the FA should see this and have a word as they own the FL right? Working with a load of Pompey fans in Chichester doens't help my appeal for this situation either as they daily take the **** that we are gonna colapse and play conference football next year. its 10 points, take over this week before we have to sell Surman and McGoldrick to fund wages and before BWP, Euell and Davis move on, if we dont want them to that is!! They do say good things come to those who wait so perhaps the longer we wait the better!!?

If they really have that much money why are they worried about the 10 point penalty!? Surely with that much money they can attract the right players, a great manager and get promoted even with the penalty!!? Cant see the owner, whoever he is, having that much money! Why would be buy saints if he did have that much, unless he's a fan! Surely you'd look into a decent championship club like Reading before you'd look at saints?
