    Mark Hughes

MH had his break when he left Stoke.
  2. The thing is this season fans are more concerned with what league we’ll be playing in next season rather than what kit we’ll be wearing..... I loved this seasons retro kit but it hasn’t proved very lucky!
  3. Totally agree about the FA Cup plus getting behind the new manager, not my obvious choice but in the circumstances we find ourselves in I feel Hughes could be just what we need. His interview sounded very positive too. As for Wigan, yeah it matters, I’ll be leaving the house at 0515 for my coach followed by tube, then train to Wigan and then my return flight to Soton doesn’t get in until 2200. I hope it’s worth it! Mark Hughe’s Red n White Army!

    Pellegrino OUT

It will be too ******* late by then! Sack the useless **** NOW!
  5. It is the hope that kills you! I check the internet all day long hoping, really HOPING that the club have finally seen sense and sacked the ****! I fear it’s too late now. All this about the Championship being fun is ********! It’s the hardest league to get out of and when you come down like Hull and Sunderland you continue to struggle! Back to praying for the demise of Pellegrino-he doesn’t have to die but if he could have a little accident, break a leg or something, anything to give the club an excuse to relieve of his duties!
  6. That’s good as the games on Sunday! No excuse now!

    Pellegrino OUT

They both need to go ASAP. In combination they are both ruining the club I love! I’m still hopeful with a decent manager in charge we could get out of this mess.
  8. No won’t be happy. We were very lucky to come back up so soon - yes it was a good laugh winning all those games 3-1 in league 1 and being the big cheese but look at say Forest, traditionally a much bigger and more successful club than us, I think they got relegated in the ‘90s and they still haven’t managed a re-promotion to the PL as Rupert Lowe would say! If we go down it will be a disaster. We could be out of the top flight for a very long time. So Les get the cheque book and get another 2 players in today! Also want rid of MP2 but unless it comes out that he was a Nazi war criminal in a former life or he is related to Fred West it ain’t going to happen!
  9. Doesn't mean I didn't get behind the team during the match - because I did. I'm just ready to get rid of the manager ASAP too,
  10. Same Pellegrino bull **** every week
  11. Actually I did protest - I had my A4 sign (massive) "Sack The Board" / "Pellegrino Out" outside ground by the Ted Bates statue. I got moved on. I then went in, grabbed a drink before I was threatened with expulsion from the stadium by head of security unless I handed over my mnasiive poster. The said poster was still in my pocket at this stage. The head of security, a guy called Martin, was trying to intimidate me & threatening to confiscate my season ticket.
  12. Of course it matters when they sign! We should have had 3 players lined up to sign on the 1st Jan. FFS VvD was announced before the transfer window even opened. We could have had 3 players integrated into the squad by now. It would have made a difference, we might even had won at Watford, it would have given us a lift against Spurs tomorrow too.
  13. As someone who lives behind enemy lines, I am guarded and keep my mouth shut most of the time. I did see on FB the other night someone who used to work for me, an avid Pompey fan, defending his decision, to take his 9 year old son for a trial at Saints academy, his words “hate to say it but their academy is much better then ours ...”
  14. Maybe he is but he’s a better manager then the last 2 we appointed! Come back and save us Ron!
  15. Yeap very happy with that team! Good balance to it. The sooner Hoedt is back in d team d better, he would complement VvD so well with his excellent distribution from d back (long passes) especially like he did at Palace. I know a lot of you love Yoshida and he has improved immensely but for me it’s got to b d Dutch pair at d back (whilst they are both still here) and it suits r game plan under MP2 so much more.
  16. I really wanted Puel out but nothing's changed under MP2. Should have got Silva. I hope the new Chinese owners are more decisive then the last / current regime - if we've made a mistake then we need to make a change sooner rather later - I can't put up with another season of "propaganda football" as Wee Gordon Strachan would say! Now to drown my sorrows (again)!
  17. Claude Puel being hit by the ball on the side of his head against Utd on Wed night - the only cheer he's had from the fans all season.
  18. Same thing happened to me. Had a missed call from the club, so I emailed them back. Got a reply asking why I hadn't renewed etc. So I told them the truth - I wont be renewing until Puel leaves the club. Wonder how many they have sold so far?
  19. Exactly, sales must be well down for the club to keep on bombarding me with emails, tweets, FB messages, letters and texts. Thing is how many times do I have to say to them not whilst Claude Puel is the ******* Manager!!! Sack the ****!

    Puel out

Totally agree 100%. Puel needs to go now.
  21. BILLY

    Puel out

Saints under Puel have totally lost our identity. We are playing like a bottom half team scraping for a point. Puel OUT!
  22. BILLY

    Puel out

Yeah get a new manager ASAP, start preparing for next season straight away. Players don't need to overachieve, just not underperform, play to their expected levels and we'd easily be a couple of places higher in the league and may have even got through our Europa League group if we hadn't been so negative at home and constantly tinkered with the team.
  23. BILLY

    Puel out

Please be some truth in this!
  24. BILLY

    Puel out

you know how I feel then!

    Puel out

I have been a season ticket for a number years, since before we moved to St Mary's and I have to say that right now I am as disillusioned as I was under the dark days of Ian Branfoot. At this moment I won't be renewing my season ticket and I know of a number of my friends who feel exactly the same. The football under Puel this season has been poor, sterile and unentertaining. Unfortunately I am bored when I attend St Mary's. The way team is set up is not the "Southampton way". We have scored so few goals and are closer to a relegation place then the top 6. This season had so much promise but has proved to be a huge disappointment, even getting to Wembley only papered over the cracks. I'm not an idiot, i don't expect to win every game but I do expect to be entertained and I do expect players to try or at least look like they are trying! This isn't happening under Puel. I don't expect to win the league or even qualify for the champions league but we should be top 7/8. Don't say it's ok we're 9th, cause the top 7 have their own league this season and we're no where near it. We have a manager who has no charisma, manager who has no rapport with the fans, more importantly, no respect for the fans and makes the same lame excuses after every game and the football is dull.
