  1. Some skate clown in twitter @samsingletonPFC is claiming our accounts for last year show we borrowed £20m off Leibherr? First I've heard of it. Can anyone set him straight?
  2. Anyone that talks about sh*gging someone whilst wearing a football kit clearly doesnt do a lot of sh*gging. However this, frankly wierd, remark fails to mask the fact your analogy was absolutely shocking, makes no sense and has nothing to do with grassing. I was hoping you could come up with something better, mugging an old lady maybe (even with a saints top on to go with your perverted fantasies)? Stabbing someone? Terrorism? Theft? Loads of cracking analogies but you use sh*gging in football kits? I would never grass on a saint or someone from my City. Never. United we stand.
  3. Most sensible thing I've read on here in ages. I doff my hat to you sir.
  4. I'd never grass on a fellow saint. Seriously. Except for rape or being a nonce (although in those cases I'd prefer "natural justice") Loose lips sink ships.
  5. Sounds rogue - I like it (although a shame I don't speak decent Italian as I'd love to put some of the local Socialists straight on a thing or 2!) The missus bought us the trip for Christmas, knows I love Italy, Italian football, Italian clothes, Italian coffee, Italian architecture and Italian women... well maybe not the last one! New ground to tick off and get a few days in (what seems to be) a cracking City to boot. However, bless here, she doesn't have a clue where Stansted is and booked us onto the 6.30am flight on Sunday thinking it was "near Gatwick".... Sue - I doff my cap to you mate! What a game to be at, that ball from Gascoigne... and the finish from Platt.... wonder stuff! Did you do any other games? I hear Naples was a bit hairy at times? Italia 90 - Best World cup in my lifetime by a mile. Why FIFA insist on holding WC's in "new" nations like Japan/ S Korea/ USA/ S Africa etc perplexes me, whenever it's held somewhere like France, Germany, Italy (or to be fair, I bet Brazil 2014 will be class) where football is in the nation's blood it's always better!
  6. Bologna is a "must do" for me thanks to the best England goal I've ever seen being scored there -Platt vs Belguim WC 2nd round Italia 90. City looks class, best food in Italy - cannee go wrong there! SOUTHAMPTON FC St George's cross a given. Will post it on twitter for you to see.... Looking forward to getting the latest edition of their Ultra's mag too. Post count done for sure now!
  7. Small world, we are booked into the Hotel Touring! Location and reviews looked good, price amazing, paying £178 for 3 nights inc breakfast - can't argue with that? Any other recommendations of things to do/ places to go? Already booked a table http://www.drogheriadellarosa.it/ as heard lots of good things about the place. Thanks in advance in case my posting limit runs out (Steve, if your reading this send me the bank details to renew my annual payment - don't do Paypal).
  8. Going to Bologna on Sunday, part of my trip will be to watch them play Juve at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. Just wondering if anyone has been before and what the score is re tickets? Had a scan on google and mostly getting spammed with sites offering touting services. Have been to Naples to watch Napoli (genuinely mental place/ club – can’t recommend it enough) and was able to buy tickets easily from tobacconists/ newsagents. Just wondering if they have a similar set up at other Italian grounds? Ta.
  9. Loyal subject over here. GSTQ.
  10. Nice one - I'll look into that, both more accessable to me than Shirley - don't like to go across the water if I don't have to! Need it for self protection, mate's new party peice is digging people in the ribs randomly with his index finger down the pub... Nice chap. "if you can't beat em" etc!
  11. You doing that in Shirley? I know the gym owner (she is the cousin of a mutual friend, her maiden name will explain who). Good mate of mine goes there and swears by it. I've restarted boxing in St Marys after a while running and cycling to shift some bulk, but thinking of heading over to Krav Maga? Also my missus wants to do it - I obviously consider this wierd but said mate says you get quite a few Doris' up there?
  12. Off licence by my work sells over 70 different types of lager. Trying Samuel Adams and Brooklyn lager tonight. "USA, USA, USA".
  13. Good - borrowing just topped £1trn, need to cut harder faster imo. Labour admitted they would have to cut 90% of the Conservative number yet havn't agreed with the tories on a single cut yet whilst not saying what they'd cut instead. Like the Labour party, I don't see what your point is?
  14. Ed's "finest hour" is over now anyway - big brother is back with an interview in the New Statesman today disagreeing with Ed's anti business stance and defending some of Blair's achievements. Text book timing from big bro' on this one... ouch!
  15. I don't, if they have a decent place in Tower Hamlets I'd rather a hard working bloke that works in Canary Wharf gets to move in than some slob that can relocate to Barnsley/ Halifax or some other hell hole with houses at £400 p/m rent. If that family wants to stay the bloke can go and get a job and pay rent privately! Oh, and benefits should be paid in food/ milk/ clothing/ nappy coupons too.
  16. I commuted from Southampton Parkway for 6 years (just stopped now). Eastleigh is a no go. Forget what that thing you copy and pasted says it's 1hr 6mins from Parkway (using the 07.08 as an example, it gets in at 08.14), the fact it only stops at Winchester means it gets priority over the Eastleigh train that stops everywhere and the seats are thinner (5 abreast as opposed to 4) with rubbish drop down tables – seriously after 6 years little things like this get pretty important! Not sure what time you start work but I’d recommend getting an earlier train, I swapped to the 06.38 from SP a couple of years ago, much quieter, never trouble getting a seat and meant my journey across London was pretty stress free (I even swapped to Thames Clipper rather than tube when the sun was out). Yes you have to get up earlier but when your getting up at that time anyway, an extra 30 minutes in bed doesn’t hurt anyone (and it might increase your chances of an early finish if your boss notices you getting in early most days). I also rode by bike most days and took it on the train and rode to work – saved me a fortune and good for the old fitness regime. All in all it isn’t too bad, but a means to an end. I’ve managed to find a job here that I can leave at 8.30 and be at work for 9, after my years of commuting this is heaven! Also you’ll get wound up by the constant: Smarmy Cockney type: “So san, where do you live then?” You: “Savampton mush” SCT: “Faaakin ‘ell, that must be a mission getting to and from work?” You; (for the 20th time that week…) “Actually it’s not THAT bad, only 2hrs door to desk…. etc etc etc” After a while you just want to have a “Falling Down” moment and kick off shouting “ your right, I f***ing hate it, train was late again today and after 40 minutes waiting on a freezing platform I had to sit next to a fat lump that had Coldplay in their headphones just loud enough so I could hear thus preventing me from sleeping, but do it so I don’t have to live with ***s like you in this crime infested hell hole!” To be fair they are rarely late but when they are, and you’ll know it that moment you walk into Waterloo to see it rammed with people forlornly staring at the info’ boards, it’s really really bad! Stay away from the wierdo’s that sit in their own section (front carriage next to disabled bogs usually) every day having “cake parties” or , wine out of paper cups and generally making a noise. Quiet carriage with a few cans of Heineken Export for me! Good luck.
  17. Jeez, you have to comment on every thread don't you? He was asking about commuters experiences.... Anyway, I digress!
  18. Beattie = top saint that loves our club, anyone that has ever spent any time with him will confirm that. Wish him all the best and this thread is pathetic.
  19. Wierdest one for me is Bristolian. Massive urban City populated by people that sound like they've just got of the milking stool at their Farm! Oh, dislike brummie and scouse accents.
  20. Yep - nice and easy. Although the most shocking gap between kids and adults I've seen for a white is the England vs WIndies 1 dayer in June at the Rose Bowl. £62 adults or £10 kids (it's not like Rosebowl PLC need the money ffs;-). Those scanners up there are piece of p*** too!
  21. They only charged Posh £5 for under 16's (although may have been under 11's)? I know this as I bought the tickets and made by 32 year old colleague go as a child due to the disgusting prices they charge adults there. Barcode turnstiles made this dead easy.
  22. It won't stop the morons in the Northam being all witty and singing "do you come from Andover" at the Munichs though!
  23. Yep - same survey that found Man United to have one of the biggest "local" supports in the Prem too. Obviously that doesn't stop morons coming out with the same "not a long trip for United fans to us today, Surrey's only up the road lol"
  24. Cracking game this though!
  25. Really? I work with 4/5 arsenal ST holders and loads of fair weather types and they credit him with a lot of assists to RVP? They are also very knowledgable about European football and appreciate that pep guardiola rates him as the toughest opponent in England? None of them have heard of Lallana except for when I go on about him? The absolute salivation by some on here at the thought of Wallcott maybe failing is pathetic. I'm proud hexwas one of us, always speaks in glowing terms about the club and the city and is in the middle of an amazing career!
