  1. How are you all getting on? Last week I finally got round to getting £1000 work of bitcoin (proud owner of 0.13 of a bitcoin), just for a bit of fun really. In a week I'm up £470. Approx £200 of that today, it's truly bonkers and a good laugh actually (as someone said above, up and down double digits on an hourly basis sometimes)! Giving Ethereum a swerve for now but if it drops to £250 I'll lump a £1000 on that as well. Some of you early adopters must be laughing now (assuming you held your nerve)? Good effort if so! Anyone buying Bitcoin back in June would be approx 5x up by the looks of things?
  2. Absolute joke. What is it about football offences that mean giving a warning is totally out of the question? What other offence could he commit that would see him and his family get this much attention (pictures n the local paper, shared all over the internet etc)? It's a stupid song, as said above hardly original either but heard/ hear worse at EVERY home and away game I go to either in the ground or on the way to/ from. Oh, also hear worse at work, in the pub etc. If someone is offended then give the idiot a warning and explain the potential consequences. This fella has got more exposure than most nonces. The priorities in this country are a complete joke! Getting a 3yr banning order and all the hassle that goes with it (messing up holidays etc) is pathetic for someone who is clearly just a little simple. Come on look at him, he's not a threat is he? At least our wonderful football intel' officers can justify their overtime gravy train now they've managed to keep this Cat C hooligan away from potential victims for the next 3 years (2 if he appeals). BTW, again as someone else mentions above. If you get pulled for something like this then for God's sake lawyer up and say NOTHING until you've received decent legal advice! Check out @FSF_faircop on Twitter to truly know your rights as football supporter. They are experts in getting fans like us treated like the general public rather than football scum.
  3. Good. "If we can't feed them out, we'll breed them out". They're a ****ing shambles, any self respecting parent round there would be insane to pick their academy over ours. Know Chelsea do a good enough job of getting their kids already. As mentioned above, going my the amount of United/ Arsenal/ Liverpool/ Chelsea tops you see in Gunwharf the kids round there left have the sinking ship over the last 10 years. Only the older 50+ year old, milk bottle glasses, smack head skinny weirdos still wearing anything Pompey branded down there.
  4. No, barely noticed him to be honest. Only player that deserves the full treatment is that rat grass Lallana. He always melts as well which makes it especially worthwhile.
  5. *Tyne/ Wear
  6. As Dellman says above I'm actually pretty pleased fro Brighton and Bournemouth. Cracking away days and good to see more Southern clubs at the top of the game. As for Pompey, I ****ing hate those ****s. They hate us, seriously they'd spit on your Nan if they knew she was a "scumma". It's not "banter", it's way more than that and bigger than football. Now *that's* a derby. Only a few as big IMO, Villa/ Blues, Tyne/ Tees, Cardiff/ Swansea, Millwall/ West Ham. Other huge derbies, but for genuine hatred and the involvement of major police operations to control them only a few stand out really. When you're involved in one of those it's difficult to find the energy to get up for a watered down event like Bournemouth, who are just too nice and middle class to hate anyway.
  7. Graham Rix. What's your point? The current owner of Pompey is a nonce enabler. What are you doing about it?
  8. Yep, saw Rose McGowan mention it... He looks bang to rights in terms of enabling the nonceing. This thread just keeps giving!
  9. So looks like their new owner was a nonce enabler at Disney after buying Weinstein and keeping Harvey on for 10 years whilst (allegedly) knowing what he was up to. Certainly a lot of chat on Twitter from Hollywood actresses that Eisner knew exactly what HW was up to but let it slide. WTF is it with that lot? Gun runners, fake sheikhs, 2 bob fans that instantly raid the booze cabinet and now someone that played a key role in the biggest Hollywood nonce cover up in the last 50 years!
  10. One thing it will eradicate is the same old "sit down in front" which you get when the club sell tickets to day tripping elderly/ young kids (happens weekly in the Itchen North). The idea (and I freely admit this probably won't happen) is also more people in a smaller area (rail seating approx 80% more efficient space wise than seats according to the FSF) should allow cheaper tickets which should be incentivised at 18-29 year olds IMO. From a safety POV, yes it's a complete no brainer. It's vastly improved the atmosphere at Celtic Park, and think it would do the same at St Marys.
  11. Signed. Crazy how more Saints fans aren't behind something like this? For once an issue every club should be able to agree on.
  12. The club not vetting corporate buyers for United/ Liverpool/ Arsenal etc causes problems EVERY time in the Itchen North. I witnessed the whole thing, box at back of block 3 went crazy as United scored, fella went over from block 2, climbed up to the box and put one on the mouthiest of the United lot. Few clackers thrown in the box but that was it. Obviously the only people thrown out were Saints fans and season ticket holders I see every week. The day trippers in the box left well alone. Money talks. Probably get a banning order as well down to the Club failing miserably to sort out the box situation. This happens at EVERY home game against the top 3/ 4. On another note the club have destroyed the atmosphere in the Itchen North by setting up block 3 as some sort of travel club section. Loads of Japanese tourists and other random foreigners in half and half scarves filming the match on their iPads (2 people literally 5 seats away from me doing this for most of the second half, bizarre behaviour frankly). Season Ticket holders having problems as young kids and parents been sold tickets in an area where everyone has stood for years trying to get people thrown out. Block 3 also seems to be the place the club put player's mates and ticket office staff (empty seats first half, full of Saints tracksuit top wearing staffers second half), none make any effort to get involved in the game and instead sit around moaning they can't get signal on their ****ing phones... How to solve this? Get on board with Safe Standing. Easy PR win for the club and great for fans. Absolute no brainer.
  13. Have used Uber in multiple countries/ cities literally hundreds of times and only had 1 problem driver (being a **** about where to park for my wheelchair using business partner, Uber instantly credited by $25 journey after I complained). Use X, Black, van (was a god send last week in Amsterdam when I had to move multiple boxes around the city in the ****ing rain) etc and find the service fantastic. Links to my business and expense accounts and completely transparent. Love London black taxis, best taxi service in the world, just prefer the reliability of Uber and ability to order what I want as soon as I need it. I don't want to wait 30 minutes at Waterloo, I'd rather cross the road and get a Merc' E-Class in 3 minutes that costs 70% of the black cab. Must admit I don't use Uber in London a lot though (prefer to walk/ get the tube) so can't speak with authority on ability to beat roadworks/ congestion vs the fellas that have grafted for the knowledge. Living in Bishops Waltham I absolutely love Uber Southampton! Can get home from town for under £20 (local forms approx £30 if your lucky enough to book one - don't get me started on the ****s that drive the hackney carriages in Southampton "£50 up front"), poor Somalian Uber driver from Reading usually has no clue how to get back into town but hey, nothing Google Maps can't fix for him.
  14. Don't go. Disgusting competition and not worth a penny of your money or a evening of your time to justify it.
  15. Match going fans will be over the moon with this. Lovely stuff! Far less grief from the missus with 3pm KO's than getting battered on a Sunday all dayer, or some of the absolute states I came home in after the 5:30pm KO's last season!
  16. Matty Barney still done Tony "cokey" Oakey in his own Pompey back yard a few years back... God they hated that! Apart from Colin (Jeff's brother and Saints match going regular) Kenna there haven't been too many to get excited about? Obviously there's Tom "Kong" Watson on the MMA front, who may or may not have been involved in Lee Barnard's tear up in Town all those years ago. Southampton ABA clubs have an excellent reputation on the youth circuit but it's hard work going from regionals/ nation championships to fighting for belts.
  17. Jason is a top bloke. Runs a very successful security company managing 100's of doors from here up to Birmingham and also owns the Stage Door club (used to be the Soul Cellar or the Wagon for you old boys). Think his business partner is his brother Paul (there's a lot of them) and father of our own (ex) CB Jason McCarthy. I believe a few of the other brothers had some problems which were widely reported in the Echo 10 years ago or so.
  18. Any adult that uses the term "Bompey" gets immediately put on ignore.
  19. Swap deals just don't happen. Watch this summer across the Premier league and see if any actually happen.
  20. It would save my shins for a start Stop people falling over the town in front after goals etc Eradicate the arguments of tourists/ people with little clue of SMS going to sit in an area that stands (happens a LOT at the back of block 2 with upset day trippers) Can fit more people into a smaller space (your comment on seat width is irrelevant as more can be accommodated in standing matches) I honestly can't think of a single reason why it wouldn't be implemented? Even the scousers (Spirit of Shankley group anyway) are behind it. It literally changes nothing for fans that want to sit, but means fans that want to stand can do so surrounded 100% by like minded people that will help the atmosphere in an environment that is safer than it is at the moment. Will reduce stewarding costs/ allow stewards to do a better job as they don't have to do the whole "sit down" pantomime for 90 minutes. More people can fit in a smaller area so our capacity goes up and reduce prices/ encourages 18-25 year olds to go to games in a group and make some noise (in theory but I don't trust any greedy **** Premier League Club, certainly not ours, to implement this). If this comes in, with lower prices as well as a decent video referral system I might just moan a little less about the current state of football ;-)
  21. Fellas give up on the idea of a swap. No chance, simply doesn't happen in modern football, certainly not for a deal of this value. It's lovely thought but that's as far as it'll go. Won't even be on the table.
  22. If you want a laugh wind up merchant extraordinaire is putting the boot in on TalkSport. Take this as a compliment lads, normally Arsenal he obsesses over, we've made the big time
  23. Nonsense.
  24. Honestly this last few months have been unbelievable looking in from the outside. I was in NYC on election day as part of a business trip, the next day I had meetings cancelled/ delayed due to staff in total shock/ distress (easy to take the **** out of from the outside but when you meet a bloke who lives in Queens and has a kid that was in tears that morning as he was worried his mates would be deported you can see why people were upset). We seem to be in a situation where every day there is another "once a year" political event happening. Trump is using his executive privilege to be completely unaccountable, I personally believe the only was we will ever get close to the truth is to see him in the dock being forced to deliver articulate, intelligible answers (not sound bites) and not walk out at the first sign of trouble. The guy seems to be slightly thick/ unhinged and his support are fanatical/ brain washed. God knows what will happen next? I watched the Sally Yates (and Clapper) questioning as was hugely impressed with her, actually looked forward to seeing how the news cycle played out over the coming days they *bang* he fires Comey, Spicer hides in a bush rather than answer questions about it, Trump goes on TV and completely contradicts his press team's previous comms, Trump threatens Comey on Twitter implying he illegally taped their meetings and now he's passed classified info' to the Russians.... I know they say a week's a long time in politics but come on...???
  25. Anyone spot the skate in the Arsenal end last night? Was a scrawny teenage runt that looked embarrassed when his mates got him to take his hoodie off. Queue a load of abuse from the Itchen North and him getting taken away by stewards looking frankly ashamed of himself, seemed grateful to be led away. Weirdly his mates seemed to be joining in with the abuse given to him? Probably a student type that got stitched up for a dare or something. Compare that with matey that rocked up to the Fratton end who went out swinging a few weeks back, typical Pompey, all mouth and no action....
