I've got hacked off over the last few days reading rubbish on here. I suggest we focus on what is ACTUALLY going on with our club, and not what some others with motives only they can understand will have us contemplate. A few thoughts:- 2 weeks ago, we nearly didn't have a club. FACT 1 week ago, we had confirmation that we had a buyer. FACT As of this minute, nothing has been said OFFICIALLY to change this. FACT So, how about thinking of these prospects................................. We have a new owner, who for whatever reason wants to keep himself/herself/thereself to themselves until the ink has dried on paper. Refreshing thought really that someone can be professional with the shambles that is SFC over the last number of years. That leads me to believe its not Messrs Lowe and/or Wilde. We've had confirmation from Mr Fry that a 'substantial deposit' was put down by our new owners, being led, for whatever reason by a bloke who lives amongst us and is a close friend of MLT. We've also had this same bloke tell us first hand that everything is progressing according to plan and its a matter of legalities. Furthermore we've had him say, supporting by MLT, that this is a long term plan - I think the quotes were something like "5 year model to return to top flight". Now call me cynical, or just old fashioned, but why the hell are people panicking?! Or maybe, just maybe, for once we've actually found light at the end of the very long (RL) tunnel and those folk who made us fall on our ass will be banished into the history books. Bring it on.

For the fear of being shouted down, why on earth would a bunch of reporters be sitting outside SMS on a Sunday night when its closed! Me thinks this is yet another load of bull***t. I think I'm going to have to stop contributing to this forum, some of the comments are just a joke

Oh dear oh dear boys boys boys, when will some of you learn to stop being so mistrusting. Granted years of RL and his mob have undoubtedly ****ed everyones trust in mankind, but ask yourself these questions before jumping to grossly inaccurate conclusions:- 1. What does it matter who the person is (so long as its now Lowe or Wilde) as they have effectively saved our club? 2. Didn't I read OFFICIALLY and not a rumour that they have a 5 year aim at getting us back in the Premiership? 3. Didn't Mark Fry OFFICIALLY confirm that a 'substantial non-refundable deposit' be put down by Pinnacle? 4. Didn't Lynam go on record and say that MLT convinced him to bring this deal to the table 5. Didn't Lynam OFFICIALLY confirm yesterday on here that everything was going as it should be, legally! 6. How do we know that Lynam/Pinnacle are purely property brokers? From what I know, they're also financiers and have been in that game for 16 years or more. Maybe The Farmer can confirm this as he said once he worked with them? 7. Hasn't it been refreshing that at least this lot have respected their gagging order or NDA. We don't know the terms of it, but we do know that both Fry and Pinnacle are behaving in the same way. 8. Isn't anyone else just getting to boiling point that some people on here, and other forums, seem to want to stick the knife into something we know nothing about. The only thing I know is we have a club next year with plans to rebuild it over 5 years. I say ***k the doubters, lets actually support MLT/Pinnacle, oh and finally 9. Do you really think that MLT would be involved with anyone who has anything other than SFC at heart? And by him being in the thick of it in his 'pivotal role', we can safely assume that he will not allow anyone to abuse his trust. The end

you are 100% correct. Source: Lynam & Fry. Just by way of comparison, everyone was panicking when Pinnacle went quite for a few days before finally doing their deal. Of course they did this on purpose to prevent their competition from knowing when they were going to pounce... and it worked. Now people are panicking because we haven't heard anything for a few days. I for one am thankful that we haven't, as silence to me suggests everything is all under control. Well I'm going to be controversial here, given that I know someone who works for Pinnacles Lynam. I believe I too know why the wheels fell off the wagon for MJ, but I know (for a fact) that a wagon existed. I also believe from a conversation I had at work this morning that Lynam is quite embarrassed for the rough ride that MJ is getting. I don't know whether he knows him, but I actually think that he's of the view that at least he got off his ass and tried to do something, and possibly nearly did. Past failures perhaps, but what's the point in giving this guy stick for having a go. And here's the controversial bit, if MJs "bid" did indeed force Pinnacles price up, then surely Lynam would be p****d off with him rather than embarrassed for him........ ????

Isn't that the first thing that Lynam said in his letter - "delisting of the company" or words to that effect? Would seem that was said with knowledge of what was happening...... good vibes

Just a thought - if they really do go, its probably because they entered into contract talks before the deal was done IMO - and most contracts in this game are binding

I've had the luxury of a day off but thought I'd catch up with all the gossip, and I'm quite alarmed/amazed to see people slagging off both TL and MLT before we even know what their involvement is. It seems crazy to me. Christ yesterday we were all delighted by the news that we've finally got someone with long term plans, now some people are slagging off these plans before we even know them! FFS people, would we prefer continued uncertainty and silence? If we're not careful, the attempt at being open with us will bite us on the behind if we start turning on them before they've even started work??

I just got off the phone to Tony Lynam who told me that he had the best nights sleep in his life last night. He sounded very relaxed about the whole thing and has apparently agreed to do an interview next week to reveal the plans and a question/answer session on this?!?!?!

Here's a random thought for you........ the pinnacle bloke is Irish.......!!! If I was going to wager a bet, I would be minded to put my money on a decision by the end of the day, probably before (this is my view only)
