  1. Yeah same set up. I haven’t tried this season with my kids but did last season. I think we were there about 1115 for a 3 kick off. And they started arriving in dribs and drabs from then IIRC
  2. The way you’ve described it, the lite option and two juniors is exactly what you want. And if you’re quick off the mark when tickets go on sale, you really won’t miss out on any of the matches you want to go to. The membership plus option seems to be if you want to plan out attendance in advance for the whole season. I have gone for the lite option myself and expect to attend the matches I want to attend
  3. Why did your dad do that, then?
  4. West Brom away, relegation season ("Prutton, you clown!"). I remember it being bollok achingly cold, with people's feet flat out not working when it was time to leave
  5. A few teasing references to some other tasty games. I'm a sucker for an old war story: what's the deal with the Rangers game? Why were we playing them - was it a 'friendly'?
  6. sorry, wrong quote! the talksport comment, I meant
  7. well played. Can't let that go unacknowledged. Made me chuckle
  8. Ah, it was your flag I saw the other day on OWC twitter and stole for my whatsapp icon! Love it. You on twitter?
  9. Nope, can't work that out at all. Utter tripe
  10. A ridiculous post. Just hope other posters don't think this is representative of people from Northern Ireland. Like the decision or hate it, but this is democracy in action. Somebody let me know when the hyperbole and hysteria subsides
  11. ...and even that would be classless, so I'm not sure I could bring myself to stoop to their scummy level if I'm honest
  12. Nope, no chance. At a push, I'd see us lose if it meant nothing to our own ambitions and we were condemning Pompey to relegation or something, but other than that...
  13. I live in Frome and would be interested. Not a season ticket holder (I go about 8-10 times a season) but always useful to know a few people. Like you, happy to share driving
  14. David Prutton is a big AC/DC fan. David Bentley, too (I think). Doesn't get any better than that...
  15. You're talking about goal-getters, that's how you keep describing Hooper - the man who will be our very own poacher in the box. I'm not saying there are not good players in the SPL - of course there are. Gatusso, Arteta etc were destined for greater things. Wanyama clearly has other qualities too. But those two players I mentioned above are like for like comparisons. All they do is score, and Hooper is the same. Putting away chances in the SPL is a far cry from doing it down here, though. Also, after a decent start, I don't think anyone thinks too much of Jelavic. Rangers used to have an Italian striker a few years back called Negri (I think?) and he had scored 40 odd league goals by January or something crazy. Whatever happened to him? The SPL really is that bad. Hopeless.
  16. Kris Boyd - 101 goals in 143 games Kenny Miller - 49 goals in 81 games Gary Hooper - 63 goals in 95 games Just a reminder for everyone creaming themselves about Hooper. There's a reason why we wanted him in the Championship but are no longer interested. How did Boyd and Miller fare in England? The SPL is a joke.
  17. Just wondering if there are any Saints fans living in Frome or thereabouts? Could be useful in terms of travel etc
  18. I'm no great fan of the guy but he has experience of playing in the Prem, which could be useful for us. Not saying it's the be all and end all, but we should certainly seek to tap into it
  19. I seem to recall that that was how it was generally reported - "a vital point away from home for Saints". It was just the moment I thought we were down, especially after being convinced we would survive when we beat Liverpool 2 nothing a few weeks before
  20. yeah, I know on the face of it it doesn't compare with a drubbing in some northern ****hole, but it sure felt like a loss walking back to the car and driving home!!
  21. Before the wilderness years, but West Brom away when we were relegated from Prem. Prutton, I think, missed an open goal towards the end and we just looked broken. That was the night that I thought we were probably down. And it was unbelievably cold too... Fans were great though - "Harry and Jim, Red & White" all through the game. How times change...
  22. sometimes we seem to forget - we are a Third Division club. If we've convinced Adkins to come here, that's a result for us. He WILL get us out of this division. We were never in a million years getting O'Neill, and why would Shearer be a better prospect than Adkins? Adkins has been there and done it, Shearer would be cutting his teeth if he joined us. Let's give the guy our support.
