Are you saying then that NC makes the football decisions rather than Les Reed? My point was really to say that I don't think for one second he does. SO if anyone should be singled out for flak in contradicting the direction NA wished to take it should have been LR and not NC?

I would have thought when people speak of Cortese making footballing/transfer decisions would it not actually be Les Reed who does this? Surely that was what he was appointed to the board to do as Director of Football/Development/Cones etc? I am no fan of Cortese (well not now that's for sure!) but surely he knows where his strengths are (finance/strategy/megalomania etc) and this is why he (unfortunately) employed LR in the first place? A man who as we all likely know has previously been voted "the worst manager in premier league history", and if I'm not mistaken is someone who has a track record of screwing up pretty much every other club/organisation he has ever been involved with?? I think Cortese is being blamed incorrectly - in the sense that people think he thinks he knows football better than someone like NA or even LR and that this is behind the bizarre NA decision? Instead, I think he should be blamed for appointing LR in the first place and I wouldn't mind betting that his appointment was the point at which the trouble really started for NA. Purely a guess of course but I would love to hear other's thoughts on this......

Papa and Lambert as the finishers. Papa and Lallana interchange perhaps? Lallana in the free role just behind the front. where he is best Lambert as the focal point. (what he came here to be I presume?) Two very good "football" players in morgan and hammond for transition of defence into attack. (where they operate best!) Solid defensive line of good age/experience/vitality blend Good solid keeper. Just looks right to me that! Will it happen? Probably not. Doh. Great shout that man.
