Who used to struggle to get a ticket at St Marys?
Saint Troy replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Turkish - i have no issue with your concern with this but there is a way forward that would be really sensible. A poll to the tune you have tried to instigate in this thread is useless - there simply are not enough people here let alone those caring to reply that would be at all representative. If you have the time it would be snesible to do the maths. Add: Money from increased stadium use for events from bigger stadium (eg internationals etc) Take away: Additional staffing costs (although reduced if corners/tiers closed for smaller gate fixtures). Cost of increasing the size of the stadium (previously quoted per seat on this forum). Find a few other factors to include and peoplke on here will help with pricing estimates. From here - work out how many tickets at current price need to be sold to make a profit. This is not a discussion of opinion in truth - its simple maths in Nicolas mind - profit good, no profit bad (although small loss and extra cudos would be considered possibly). Not sure what the "discussion point" is here - be very interesting for you to do the maths though and find out however ballparkwhat we would need to make it worthwhile. If doing this excercise is in dreamland then let it go -
For me Morgan mom, very efficient with the ball and a few good ball wins as well. Lambert is used so differently to pardew days, link up play is excellent, would like to see him scoring but the many others scoring at the mo have him to thank. Jos excellent in first half and guly excellent throughout

personally dont believe for one moment the general would be used for medical. based on nothing really but know that reading use private hospital in reading (used to be bupa) so find it hard to believe. Not fact of course!

ive got a fiver on connolly to be championship top scorer at about 120-1 so really not keen for another striker!!! 30 goals by him and promotion could twist my arm though!

Texaco Fantasy Football - SWF Challenge

In the rules it says transfers can be made at any time. Does this mean you can pick a striker plYing Friday and then swap him out before your new striker plays Saturday?? -

I would like to join but can't see the pin number anywhere on the thread. Can someone point it out? (obviously not even being able to workout how to enter a league doesn't highlight me as in with a chance of picking a decent team!!) -
well thats your dissertation sorted then!

was on dodgy rumours about us being linked with a tunisian defender, wouldnt surprise me but probably a case of 2 + 2 = people with too much time on their hands writing ******

i think reading fans will disagree with the skate assessment, did very well for them and is a no nonsense type player that people feel we need alongside jaidi. not my first choice and prone to the odd clanger but would be a useful asset against some of the more forceful championship sides

Tomorrow (8th July) is the 2nd anniversary of Markus Liebherr buying SFC
Saint Troy replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
great post in the light of the recent transfer/no transfer speculation/*****ing/nonsense. Where we are is purely to do with this man and holy **** are we lucky! thank you Markus -
i do not understand how being turned down by a few players is EVIDENCE of a lack of ambition. We had ambitions to sign them (fact) and talks failed (fact) but a lack of ambition simply cannot be guarenteed as the reason talks failed. Signing a striker like CMS would be nice but is simply not a statement of ambition without facts and not hearsay and assumption. You may be right but we wlil find out over the next few months. We can sign noone and still be ambitious. If Adkins thinks this squad will get us up then whether he is miguided or not it is not necessarily a reflection on ambition.

no ambition - wheres the evidence?

want to sign a couple of Man.Utd players...?
Saint Troy replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
what on earth are you on about, clearly the posts relate to the odd youngster and not full internationals! People on this forum astonish me sometimes! -
want to sign a couple of Man.Utd players...?
Saint Troy replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
i know its not saints related (or could it be!!) but it is strongly believed in peterborough that even the purchase of CMS was recommended by his dad via man united scouting network as one thats not for Man u but be wort h a punt for them to buy. -
Friday Guardian article "Nigel Adkins puts celebrations on hold....."
Saint Troy replied to BTW Saint's topic in The Saints
its not really a ridiculous attitude to have in the media give nthat were playing a team with something to play for, look at brightons form sive they were promoted! He will want to win btu we know theyve had some celebrations or does bart run off the bench on the final whistle every game like that. Loved barts celebration!!!! interesting stat about the highest point scoring 2nd place. yes he should achieve it with the players we had but make sthe points haul look even more respectable. -
Had the same conversation with my girlfriend this afternoon (well i say conversation - she pretended to be interested!). I was born in 1980 and whilst weve seen some great times this would be my first promotion and feels very strange. I know its to be expected of the money weve spent etc but its so exciting and cant wait to go up and do the same next year!!!

Loan period to open.. Do we have a deal lined up?
Saint Troy replied to Saint 76er's topic in The Saints
CMS may well be nonsense but if (like me) youre one for reading into things then watch Nigels post match interview from posh, couldnt speak higher of the lad, got me suspicious thats for sure.... -
Nearly spat my tea out when I saw mike Williamson on motd!

the thing i dont understand is how they can wait to find out our fate before deciding when the punishment should apply. If we surveive its this season if not its at the start of next season. If we are to be fined 10 points the date of fine should be decided now, not just when they feel like it adn when it causes us th emost problems, that is simply not how the fines system that was put in place works
