    Did they?
  2. Get both ideally...

    Che Adams

It may not be a gamble Adams wants to take either. He's clearly not decided on staying here, or maybe we havnt offered him a new contract, so I'd be very surprised if he stays. RM saying the right things about wanting him to stay but that's only (I'm guessing) so that in the case he doesn't find a move RM has CA on side! I think there will be one or two better players coming in tbe door up front...
  4. I like Adams but I think getting 15m for him is ok. If we go up, a) will he sign on again and b) will he be better "next time"? I dont think it's worth the gamble overall. Its a good time to (hopefully) get two new strikers in. I like the look of Cameron Archer, young fast and teo footed. Another like maybe Piroe with some experience in this league might be a tasty combination.
  5. Who's he?
  6. Always the victims
  7. In theory it's not different to when we were pillaged for pur best players. Most teams are essentially an average of the individual abilities. So, and I have no idea actually, perhaps Grimes and Pirloe are far better than mid-table (but the collective Swansea team werent). And judging the manager purely on the quality of player available to him is unfair. Perhaps, he overactive with the players he had?? What I've seen and heard so far excited me. But we need to see how tbe team/squad settles and give him 2 or 3 months and we will have a much better idea.
  8. 1. We don't know the deal yet. 2. There might be other arrangements within the deal, eg Downes for a set price and Ings or something. 3. He's been here 20 years. I'm ok with him trying his luck back in tbe PL as the club fucked up the team and management around him last season.
  9. Can someone tell me or show me where it is OBVIOUS that JWP wanted to stay in the PL not with us? Very different scenario. I'm sure he was as gutted as us really at getting relegated but I havnt seen or read anything where he has said he wants to leave.
  10. True and I agree really but I think JWP deserves to play in the PL so if he wants to go next season if we fail to go up then I'd let him. Hopefully he'll actually stay for the rest of his career.
  11. I realise its not my money but Id rather we didnt sell JWP to these london wan**** and tell him if we do fail to go up this season then we will let him go to whatever club he wants who offer say 20m next summer.
  12. Can anyone share this Wilcox interview?
  13. F****** hypocrites. 50m+ cash or 35m cash plus Downes
  14. As good as JWP is and as potent his free kicks and corners are world class in fact, he's not quite a CL midfielder overall and in his normal play. He's certainly the Level below and I think that's what the big clubs see. I'd like him to stay but I doubt he will and he deserves to play in the PL. West Ham, Villa, maybe even Spurs is where I see him ending up. 25-30m plus Downes from WHU would be satisfactory, seeing as RM appears to live FD which is good enough for me right now. Lavia will go if we cam get 40m plus I am guessing. Tino for a similar amount. Salisu for 15-20, Lyanco for 3-5, and possibly KWP for 20. I think Adams will go also for around 15-20m, Djeneppo for 5-10. This would bring in upto 180m which is staggering and remove alot of wages too. As long as this can all happen say within2-3 weeks (and as hinted at by RM there are players we want who know we want them, and are willing to be patient) then I'm feeling optimistic. It may be a slow up and down start because of the window but the Championship is a long season so plenty of time. We can be the financial bullies to get out at the first attempt.
  15. These references to Liverpools supposed interest in Lavia are exactly what they do. They the club or the fans or the media but probably all three have a very high level of arrogance about the Club. If they are selling then the value must be high (because they are a Liverpool player). If the club is buying then the value (promoted in media) will be whatever Liverpool want it to be because the player must be privileged to be wanted by Liverpool and the selling club must feel like Liverpool are doing them a favour. This attitude is worst at Liverpool and seems to have gotten worse during Klopps time there. Horrible club and fans.
  16. Explain? Or do you mean in general? I meant we don't need to sell him specifically.
  17. I hope we hold put for 40m plus for Lavia. We don't need to sell and this "saints are the championship" so the value goes down is bullshit. If he's good enough pay the value.
  18. Crazy thought I know but what if Lavia stays....did he and Charles play together at City??? Might be great?
  19. Damned if you do; damned if you don't. SR as a whole and the individuals concerned won't win with many on here, at least not for a while because lots of us are still hurting from this season and the relegation. I'm happy with these words from Dragan particularly. He is acting like a strong leader. Admitted the mistakes and is taking strong action. But right now whatever they so will not be ok because of the pain some are feeling. I like the "look and feel" of what they are doing in terms of structure and personell but as ever the one that matters most to results on the pitch is the next manager. I'm not sure Russell Martin is the guy (but then I don't know loads about him) but then I'm not really sure who is. I do think we need a "name", someone to inspire confidence and hope in the fan base and attract players because of who he is to some extent. But whoever it is, it ONLY matters that we win lots and go back up. I'm feeling positive that we will have a very energetic and fairly skillfully side next year with the younger players we have who can show quick development over the next 12 months. Having good experience at the heart of the defence and one at CM is key I feel so one or two important signings to make there probably. In Wilcox I think we have someone who understands what success is and how to achieve it. He's spent most of his career achieving it and subsequently after playing within a culture that only accepts success. I expect him to drive the culture change needed. It's going to be an interesting summer but it sounds like the owners and directors are motivated and focused on getting it done.
  20. Only went to Highfield Road once, sometime in the nineties I think. We literally pulled up to the ground and it came across on the radio (pre mobile time kids) that the game was called off. Fuming we were. Ended up going to watch Walsall v Brighton (in the away end). Shame you lost yesterday.

    Busy 63 days

3 teams go every year! It's sounds very short do they must be planning now. I like Selles bit not sure he's the best option. I do think he will make a career at some level as a Manager. I wish him well. He had a hugely tough task after that idiot Jones. We need to decide who the manager needs to be quickly, before the end of this season ideally and I want to see someone who csn demand some sort of respect very quickly. I'd like Potter (but that won't happen. I'd be happy with Viera or Gerrard. I fear we will go for another manager who is up and coming but has no gravitas to begin with. We need someone who has a very good track record or is almost on their last opportunity to make it as a top manager. Then we clear out / raise funds by shifting KWP, JWP, Diallo, ABK, Salisu, AA, Walcott, Adams AMC. For next Season GK...Bazanu / New Experienced LB...Perraud / Larios RB...Tino / New DCM...Lavia...New...New AM....Alcarez...Armstrong Forwards/Wingers....Tella...Edozie...Adams...Ballard...Sulemana Onoucha might be worth a look at at this level. And there will 2 or 3 kids that probably get a chance. Huge summer ahead....
  22. I disagree witht the lunatic part. I think you're basing that on his first few appearances when he arrived. I think he's settled down enough to be considered valuable in The Chsmpionship. Most teams who do well in that league (get promotion or into the playoffs) do so with plenty of experience at CB. I'd be happy for him to stay even if its as 3rd choice.

    Ruben Selles

Seems very pragmatic decision. Huge game tomorrow against another team hoping for the new manage bounce. I think we just got ahead of that though. We will see if course come 5pm tomorrow but a win and I will believe we can escape. Lose and all the momentum and good feeling from Chelsea evaporates.
  24. You
  25. You might think that he's still here while they line someone up. This is foolish as the longer he stays the more negative impact he'll have on tbe team and the fanbase. Ridiculous he's still here.
