When I was at school Weston park had the best school team and most of them played for what was the best tyro leaugue team at the time which was winsor. My cousin who was part of that Weston park team went on to play professionally.

Personally like the idea of a ex well respected defender coming in as defensive coach. The 2 goals we conceded yesterday came from low crosses into the box yet most full backs/defenders are taught to try and stop players crossing so takes away that threat, also not entirely the full backs fault as feel the players we have got playing wide in midfield are strong attacking but not very good at helping and covering the full backs thus leaving them exposed too much.

Exactly as I expected bearing in mind we have not bought enough quality in the defensive part of our team. Never doubted we would score goals but knew with the difference and step up in quality in strikers and attacking play of teams in the premiership knew we would/will struggle. Start at the back and work from there that is what you need to prioritise in this leaugue .

In the premier league with the difference in quality in the attacking players to those in the championship, first thing you need to sort out is the defensive part of your team/game. We seemed more intent on In my opinion of course wasting 7m pounds on players like Rodriguez, who I do not believe adds anything to our squad. Adkins should of started by sorting out a premier league class keeper and concentrated on doing what everyone can see is our weakness the centre backs and left back positions. We are struggling because we play attacking football but have not got enough quality at the back to cope with the difference in pace and quality that players in the premiership have. Teams in this league move the ball with so much pace that our defence is being found wanting. Any manager worth their salt ail start with the defence and build from there. That as good a manager as wenger is has been his downfall up until now his team score plenty and are immense going forward but they used to concede far too many goals.

Nothing to do with this but just phoned lloyds tsb to make payment over phone and their call centre is in Liverpool got a really nice scouser born and bred on the phone who just happens to of been a saints fan since he was 5 years old.

Perhaps they should pop down the Saints pub in Millbrook then !!!!!!

Hi everyone. Female half of Sugarbabe here. Went to game. Would've been satisfied with 0-0 tbh. They did good job on Rickie. I'm sorry but I just don't rate Guly. He can run, his ball control is rubbish, he don't keep his eye on the ball, he can run, when he has the ball he don't know what to do with it.......but he's better now at being caught offside. I have been told there is already a signing that just needs dotting and signing, but we've heard that before!!! Thing that worried me was Nigel must've been watching the same game as I was but took so long to make changes. Midfield was the missing link last night. God do we miss Chaplow but will he still be the same player he was when he comes back? I don't want to go up next season cos coming home from the game last night reminded me of the feeling I was having nearly every game in the Premiership. I love Saints and I love winning. Not sure we will see so much of that in the Premiership. This is just my own opinion but at the end of the day, footballs a mans game x x

Did notice on Notts County website they're using 900 kids to help fill the ground. Obviously a bit worried about the amount of Saints fans going. I doubt 900 squeaky kids will drown us out.

Same here. Staying with my brother who lives in Nottingham. He's a Saints fan so we're meeting a couple of his Notts county mates first for a bit of light bantering:rolleyes: lol. Got an hours tram and bus ride to get there but it'll seem like 5 mins back after our 2 1 victory:lol:
