  1. Oh they'd spend it alright ...if they could get someone stupid enough to lend it to them.
  2. Maybe this is a wind up and they have now removed the blue toilet paper? Nevertheless, sad sacks and stupid enough to brag about it. I can only surmise how their boss is going to tell all their colleagues that they have lost the contract.
  3. I have sent MH a friend request and invited him to The Soul Cellar on FB. As you say, memories do get tangled.
  4. Another murder, I believe up in the Derby area. The first one caused many a problem between town lads and Eastleigh boys which led to fights at the Top Rank etc. I think that those from Eastleigh who followed Saints were accepted because of our support. Incidentally, Dodson was prosecuted along with a guy called Ally Taylor for the murder of David Skeats, he didn't know Dodson had stabbed Skeats until he was arrested! Taylor, when released was a totally different guy. he's learned his lesson, he hung out in Eastleigh for a year or so and then seemed to disappear off the face of the earth. I have not heard of him or seen him since about 74/5? He was a good buddy of Ian Jelley.
  5. Do you mean Chris Dodson the Chandlers Ford son of a vicar? If so he did his time, came out and then did it again!
  6. I saw Lipsy (M. H.) do that at Brighton too but he grabbed a putlog (short scaffold pole) and frightened off the Brighton. Lipsy is still about but very calm, like most of us, still has Chelsea as his first love and he is on FB.
  7. I think the guy in the middle used to work at Fords? Don't recall his name even if I'm correct. A solid fella though. Dougall on the left as we look but time has taken his hair!
  8. 2. Is that figure for REPORTED crime? I'd guess that if you included non reported crime then the figure may well be higher.
  9. The last time I saw Dougal was at Fleming Park, and he had an OES running around him. Mind you that was probably 20 odd years ago now!
  10. Ooooozing something and I have seen better being bagged up by a dog walker. Holly summed it up by closing it down with Stop, stop right now.
  11. It's called prejudice and, provocative or not, the protagonist is prejudiced. She will be a cause of many a problem in their relationships. She reveals her own stupidity by referencing that India is not a location......
  12. What price do you have in mind? What are you going to store them on in the interim and what quality do you want? (320kbps ?)
  13. Marvin Gaye - What's Going On Otis Redding - Otis Blue Emerson Lake & Palmer - Trilogy Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon Nigel Kennedy - The Four Seasons
  14. Caveat: If this is the real thing. I agree Phil, the sleeves look very poor. I note the nice and subtle changes to the club emblem but please NOT in gold. The shirt, generally, reminds me of Arsenal so I'm not impressed in that respect. We do need a general style which says Southampton but that does negate the full on stripes which we are all used to (e.g. Stoke, Sunderland). Last season's home shirt grew on me but I can't see this one doing so. I know I'm being critical and sadly I have no real alternative to offer.
  15. Tick tock tick tock.
  16. Within a space of time, which I can't gauge exactly, our youth products, Luke Shaw etc, will become the experienced heads who will be there to bring on our own youth product. Currently we don't really have enough in that age group, with the experience, to do that so we are buying them in, at their (almost) prime. I think the idea is that within a few years we will be self sustaining to a decent level. With, hopefully, a successful club which will encourage young lads to want to play for us.
  17. Not to mention that dreaded 'Paint Pot Trophy' oh how they will gloat if they get to the final, totally forgetting how they rubbished the competition at the time
  18. Ahh yes but we'll need to get relegated a couple of times to play them within that 27 years.
  19. New keyboard please!
  20. There were many who would leave the Milton to get into the Archers when the big doors were opened, some 10 to 15 minutes before the game ended. The police grew wise to this so those same lads just went in the Archers from the start. This practice started somewhere about 74 with some lads from Eastleigh and Portswood.
  21. My younger brother went to St. Georges with the owner of the axe. Is V still around?
  22. My redundancy payment from Ford was not taxed as it was slightly less than £30k. I started my new job four days later and my tax for that year was normal i.e. as if I had not received the redundancy.
