Precisely. -
Who would YOU want to own/run the club?

What about Patrick Trant? Or did he make himself personna non grata during his previous attempt at involvement? Just an idea. -
Saint David is, I believe, otherwise engaged.

My mate and I already celebrate it. April 8th. And a great old p155 up it's going to be.
-
Sincere condolences on your loss. May your Dad rest in peace.

I know that one should not say never, so I'll put it like this. I cannot, ever, in my existence, see me feeling any kind of sadness, remorse, sympathy, empathy or badness about what they are going through. They gloated when they thought we were for the knacker's yard, they have refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing at their club which resulted in achievements that they could glory in. They have perpetuated lies about our club and it's owner. They want the history & glory but not that little bit about how it was achieved. They can go to hell, if hell will have them, but the slower the better suits me as I sit and laugh, giggle. PMSL & wallow in schadenfreude at their 'troubles'.

Sorry to hear the news, but damn glad to see you posting mate! (yes I know about the age thing).

If Chelsea bought the cup, at least they are still paying for it, ALL of it, not 0.04%.

Maplins sell the grille cloth by the way, for any who want to replace theirs.
-
I have a pair of Eltax Symphony 6, some 14 years old and they are still going strong. All I have had to do is replace the grille cloth as my cats took exception to it.

Olympic gold for jumping to conclusions. What about those of us in full time employment who tried to support the miners throughout the strike. There are some of us who thought other than 'feck you jack I'm alright'. So while Union officials were trying to extract max wages for minimum input what were other unions and their officials doing? Working with the company to ensure safe working practices. Reasonable working conditions for the staff, it wasn't all about money (as the rabid right might have us believe). Job security..how was that achieved? Certainly not by working against your employer! What you have described obviously happened but it wasn't a far reaching thing and many employers worked hand in glove with the unions to achieve stability and success in the market place.

They only use the experts if it suits their agenda though. Lies, damned lies and statistics spring to mind. here's a link I couldn't post yesterday: http://blogs.channel4.com/paul-mason-blog/thatcher-miners-official-papers-confirm-strikers-worst-suspicions/265

The government are probably releasing some bad news under cover of this very release.
-
A sane and balanced view. I think that if Scargill had called the strike totally correctly then even the scabs in Nottingham will have supported their colleagues. While working in Nottingham some years ago I got talking to quite a few ex miners and almost to a man they claimed that they were promised the earth for not striking and that their pits would be safe from the war of attrition being waged by both sides. When I asked but what about Hucknall, Beeston etc their heads dropped and wry smiles appeared. "McGregor and the ***** lied to us" they told me.

Just waiting for the Baroness Barmy frock kissers to climb aboard with their defence of the Finchley *****. It has taken a long time but word is finally leaking or being released. Two more years and then we might get more about Hillsborough.

Rules? But they don't apply to the skates, haven't you realised this yet?
-

I think that the only way we'll get even more laughs now would be for Vincent Tan to ditch Cardiff City and buy this lot from the HNWIs. Imagine, skates playing in Red & White stripes....... now that would have them in ecstasy.

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-3 Chelsea
EastleighSoulBoy replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
If anything Torres made his own luck by doing what our defenders didn't do in this instance. He got to the second ball, the rebound. I don't think it was lucky at all. A poacher's goal maybe. -
What a telling background!

I hope that 2014 is better for you Tris, and that you get your lawnmower back. Maybe a change of user name and fewer freudian slips would give you a chance? Please give my regards to Stan,Lee,Dune etc. -
Are you an expert on self importance then?
