  1. I can't wait until the phew sign another player, that should guarantee the return of the Crack Ho and his insane gibberish. Meanwhile, it would seem, we have to make do with PFC123, The Ho's patsy.
  2. PAT testing is another which annoys.
  3. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/2009/04/25/exclusive-princess-diana-s-lifesaving-legacy-revealed-as-charity-rids-world-of-1-million-landmines-86908-21306265/ Or do we? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/211722.stm already anticipating the skate input?
  4. So it was the whole of you aqueaking when we met last Summer and not just your shoe?
  5. Wife V Kids, burning house scenario? I just know who my Mrs wants me to save first and in that situation I would want my Mrs to get the kids out first and hopefully I'd make it somehow.
  6. I'm in that same group as you, are we out on a limb here? Probably not.
  7. Lol! he must be bald on the back of his head now, where it's been slapped so many times today. Whoever suggested banning him should really think about it again. He's stopped us moaning, pedanting and generally falling out with each other within minutes of posting. A true antidote to the cabin fever that is football's close season.
  8. Not quite right, although they will get a small amount of strike pay it will not cover lost wages.
  9. On the level and square to be honest! Kind of guessed things must be on the up down your way what with the fecktard Ho reappearing. He's an absolute embarassment to you lot, tale is that TCWTB won't even stand near him! If you see Ho give him a slap on the back from me.
  10. Martin O'Neill still house hunting Winchester. Allegedly
  11. Well said GITR! Undoubtedly the Chapel is quieter than the Northam, it doesn't mean that we are all sat down with our flasks and blankets. In fact there are some rather excitable 'old fellas' down here who, along with their sons/daughters, do stand up and have a good old shout on many an ocassion. It just doesn't help our hearts and lungs to do it continuously
  12. If they lose their jobs involuntarily then they should be able to claim Jobseekers Allowance, those who pay rent will also be able to claim Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit, obviously dependant on whether their spouse is working and how many children/dependants they have. Their working Families Tax Credit will cease but Child Tax Credit will kick in instead. As to whether they would be better off can only be assessed on an individual basis? I'm not sure if the Housing/Tax Benefits come from Central Govt or are from within the council's budget? So it's hard to call, the Council may well save money on jobs but may lose out on income from Rent/Council Tax? It's possible that some employees will have already done the maths and decided what is viable for their own circumstances and may well be waiting to be pushed? The problem could come in providing the service because the manning levels are too low? I'd suspect that there's a few big companies out there who will be preparing tenders for out sourcing contracts.
  13. If the club can be bought on the glad and sorry then why not the players?
  14. Sad to hear this news Duncan but you can hold your head high with dignity and the knowledge that you stood up for what you believed to be right.
  15. Still waiting for StuRomseyRant promised to do it for free, he's yet to fulfill his promise on that score.
  16. Here in Eastleigh the myopic council have raised parking charges 3 times in the last year, the first being a hefty 25% rise! There is now no discount for buying more than one hour's parking as all prices are an exact multiple of the hourly rate. So rather than pay for two hours and meander around the town, possibly spending more money?, the shoppers park up, rush round and do their minimum before shooting off elsewhere. Some now just buy on the internet and others decamp to where parking is cheaper. This council have now even removed, yes removed, disabled parking in one of the newly refurbished multi storeys in the town centre. This council do not want cars in the town! Couple that with exorbitant rentals and it's no wonder that many shops are closing down. Even Currys/Dixons have closed their shop down after being on the street for some 20 years! While shoppers, under the financial strain, are cutting back the landlords are asking for more. Something has to give so the shops move out. The retailers, although they have had it good, are under attack from all sides and will move to where it's cheapest to operate.
  17. This......21st then?
  18. Interesting, do you feel that the Northern European, more industrialised, countries might realign as a tangibly seperate union within the EU? Therefore having less responsibility toward the other EU states and their less stable* finances/currencies? A sort of SuperEuro Alliance. * Not that any currency is currently stable, just that some are slightly more stable than others?
  19. Yeah, you're surrounded by 'that type' every time you visit St. Mary's. F.F.S.
  20. This, plus the next door neighbour's sun would not return their vacuum cleaner.
  21. Did you enjoy the guitar playing from the students in the far corner? I'll have a word with my informant about being ageist!
  22. Why was DP's Moveo parked down the old part of Chestnut Avenue, opposite the bungalows then? They were there, from about 13.35 appx. DP, Eric (I believe) a young lady and an older fella? The informant left while DP and the older fella were in ordering. How long they stayed, he doesn't know.
