Probably not a fine enough filter?

Nice spot Dicko! Tree Hugger second, father first.

A right to a new life? Does a nonce's victim get a chance at a 'new life'?

Which reminds me of one of their more popular dittys . . was Ghost Town about life in general or their particular slice of it?

Now that is a frightening synopsis! Remember, the Yanks will not play war in their own backyard (if at all possible) neither will the Russians. They'll play it out somewhere, . . oh, . . half way? Death by proxy anyone?

TBH I'm not that worried about instant success. Stability, as in no more looking over our shoulder or asking the bank if we're ok for another 9 months, is what I want. Unfortunately the investment which may bring that stability is usually hand in glove with the inevitable demands for success. Also, as you point out, investment will raise the fans hopes and expectations.

They're not, would this be a generalisation revealing your inner thoughts?

I think maybe a lot worse than harsh and OTT?

No mate, there's some 19 years between us! (You are the younger of us) Our head was a chain smoking Mr. Woods.

Hmmmm, so do we strip our Sovereign (at the moment Queen Elizabeth) of the title 'defender of the faith'?

A very sensible line of thought, however As Top Gun says, we need to let the children decide with as much information at their disposal as possible. I was 'dragged up' as a Catholic, yet while at St George's we questioned our faith. the answers we were given, viewed with that miracle 'hindsight', were less than satisfactory. Now I don't view Catholicism as that 'extreme' but what I did experience shaped my outlook as a Christian (rather than a practising Catholic). I think that R.E. in any shape and in any school is canted too much in favour of the education provider with no 'all round view' being given!

My opinion only, so shoot me down for all I care. Fitzhugh Fella is as sound as a pound. That red and white blood courses strongly through his veins, more so than most of us. He did, maybe still does, have the ear of some important players on the money side. He spoke out only when he was either: 1. Given the OK to or 2. His conscience would not let him remain silent I feel that he was let down and, given all the crap that had gone on previously, people, wrongly in my opinion, placed him in the same category as those who had spouted crap on those other occasions. I believe that rather then stand his ground, which he is well able to do, he has taken a semi - retirement, rather than further embroil us all on here in further accusations and counter accusations. This temporary loss is felt by me because we no longer have the club historian to help us with queries and puzzles about our team. I strongly hope that he will return to 'grace us with his presence'.

It's pretty much what we have come to expect from the 'protectors of the world' and the crazy bunch in charge of them.

You didn't really need to tell us your standard Old Boy! But you did make me laugh.

Two adults, two early teens and a seven year old here. We pay £70 for Electric, 5 PCs, TV and games console nearly always being used. £27 for Gas, that includes cooking and heating. Very rarely run the heating for longer than 30 mins a day ( Oct to May ) as the house is 3 years old and insulated to the nth degree.

You have two left today. Let's hope that they are to the usual high standard expected from you!

The good old days - old timer goes off on one again

Ooooooerrr missus! Sherbet fountains still available. Sweet shop in the Swan Centre. Sadly, not 3d anymore! -
CB should surely go, as a legend, to Big Jake? Those centre forwards used to bounce off of him! No disrespect to Mark Wright either.

Classy!

While you rightly point that out Baj, I do fear for the future of this once great country. -
Well, it looks like things are OK and that we are all sa.. .f. . . . .

My only comments are: Cass Pennant, where is all the much vaunted loyalty to the ICF? Hooliganism aside I can't love any other team than Saints, maybe look out for Rangers results but to get involved physically in misplaced support of two teams? I wonder what Mr Sundance will have to say about all this? As to writing a book? It's a free country mate, why not try and make a few bob at it. Firstly though have a word with Duncan Holley about the profit margin involved. I don't think that it has made him a millionaire.

Now that is spot on!

Do you recall one certain player, who did more, gave more and will be remembered more than your puppet master? Ted Bates?
