Ok, this is totally off the wall but is a theory I have had for a while now. Despite the current financial climate RL has cast iron backers who are waiting in the wings. In a fit of spite, remember I am just being off the wall here and NOT I repeat NOT alleging anything, he drives the business into the ground. Within days he approaches the O.R. with a 'rescue package' which entails any tax liabilities being fully discharged and all others getting 20p in the pound. The mortgage is taken over by the new backers. All the shares are worthless but hey! Rupert's lost money is more than recompensed by a handsome 'brokerage fee' from the financial backers and a place high on the board of the new company. Cynical, most definitely, but who knows? What about that for a conspiracy theory?

It may well be worth giving some credence to what Long Shot has to say. He may not have approached this in the way you would agree with, we are all capable of making mistakes or misjudging opportunities, but he does know a lot more than he can let on at this moment in time. I'm not asking you to trust him, you are your own man, just hear him out.
