Thanks Mewsta and SES, looks like the prices will drop over a period of time so that they will become the next generation for end users like us. Hopefully someone will produce them so they fit the current configuration of loom.
-
Or because you're too scared that Stanley will come round and tell you off? Golly Olly!
-
Your opinion only, sad sack.
-
What capacity are they producing them at currently?
-
Probably the correct words for what I envisaged?

I think I'm well out of touch here! What are SSDs? Secure Digital type thingys? No moving parts? Big eff off versions of what we have in our cameras and phones?
-
Good point StL, but I have to ask where the child got the fear from? It's amazing what kids overhear and construe as 'the family line of thought'!

Long Shot is not giving up his ticket over 'just these comments' but more like he explained and, probably, having got to the stage where, for him, enough is enough. He's not going to compromise his principles and fair play to the man.

The drop is this season Nick, you cannot make the link to the regime which was there last season! You can make the figures tell you anything, it's called spin. Remember that hoary old chestnut? There are lies, damn lies and statistics. So attendances have fallen and we ask why? Lowe, no it's not Lowe it's the previous administrative board, etc. etc. What is the root cause? Where did it all start to go wrong? How far back to we have to look to deem that we were, reasonably, successful? I think it all started to go t!ts up after the Cup Final and a good placing in the Prem that year. All down hill after that. Why? Lack of investment? Most of us are aware of the answer. The root cause, no matter how many managers, directors, 'boot boys' or tea ladies we've had in between, is firmly and squarely at Lowe's door. Rant over!

Do you know, if this was happening down the road I'd be gloating to my hearts delight. But it's happening here, at our club and we can do nothing about it. I'm certainly not laughing, but I'm damn near to tears, of frustration at the pig headedness of those in charge and the sycophants on here who I'm sure are now lining up to disparage us 'flat caps' as 'ungrateful plebs' etc. I am given to believe that Sumedunce has finished his ban? What say you Mr Flashman?

He's quite a giggle on here too Stu!

I can't see the likes of Somedunce and Scooby believing this tissue of lies!

Very Very interesting (if you have any debts...)
EastleighSoulBoy replied to Crouchie's Lawyer's topic in The Lounge
Naive enough to have spoken to a close friend about this scheme? He is a retired bank manager and works part time as an advisor for the CAB. At no stage did I infer that they were cowboys! All I suggested was talking to the CAB who can give you the options available to you before you part with any money. You do sound like you are on the hard sell with this line though. -

If you have a high level of debt and a low income through loss of work or illness then you can seek free advice at the CAB. They will advise you of your best course of action be it, in order, a Debt Management Plan, Individual Voluntary Arrangement or Bankruptcy. Don't play into the hands of people offering you a quick way out which could cost a you a packet and leave you owing more! -
I'm a 'loony, tree hugging leftie' but I agree with St Throbber, and I'm not a reader of the Daily Hate! We are too often held back for fear of being criticised for lack of PC.

What will Lowes excuse be when Portvliet leaves "by mutual consent"?

A tantalising thought Long Shot, problem is I think it's just that mate, a long long shot! -
R.I.P. to all our fallen. And thank you for giving your lives for our freedom.

I think that the secret is to ride through these peaks and troughs expecting nothing. If they lose then you were right. If they win then it's a pleasant surprise! A lack of experience and guile is our problem. Normally when someone debuts for a team they have an abundance of older more experienced and wiser heads around them to help and advise. When you are breaking as many youngsters as we are the balance is too far the other way. Naivete seems to rule and it will cost dearly. All power to the players I beleive, on the whole, that they are giving their very best. Sadly it's not quite enough against teams of men.

A nice moment's silence for poor Paula. R.I.P. Paula -
I can't recall the name of the previous thread or poster, but the bold bit was stated then, almost word for word. So could it be that someone read that thread and is repeating it? The best day for earning is a Sunday (double time) The highest (hourly paid) rate in the plant is for a skilled man with Group Leader allowance, Electronics allowance and Multi Skill Allowance. Without his shift premium that pays him about £15.00 an hour. I'll not be exact but it's a high end example. So on a Sunday this Skilled man could, in effect earn £30.00 an hour. Still with me? They don't let the skilled men drive the vehicles, you have to be Ford approved to move the vehicles. It's the guys a pay grade or two below maintenance who do this job. As to the £37.00 an hour? Someone is being a little extravagant when they tell you that. Sorry to put a less flamboyant slant on things.

That may well be true and, in light of your last sentence, we could say that Dubya was the most successful president ever? Because he certainly lived up to my expectations of him.
-
Where on earth do you get that idea? I am most definitely a socialist but not as left leaning as to be communist. As to football hooligan? I have seen a few things happen in my time and would be disingenuous to deny that as a youth I ran around chasing other fans or being chased. At least I'm not a racist.

Don't make me laugh! Successive Governments have eroded Engineering in this country. It was the backbone of Britain and key to it's manufacturing sector. The dilution of skills by providing NVQs and no more full apprenticeships has left a vere lowly populated skill base in Britain. Successive Governments have encouraged foreign ownership of key utility industries. Electricity, gas, Nuclear power, Water many are foreign owned because the government could rake in billions by selling them. Who own many of the train companies now? foreign companies. Investment by private companies, in training and equipment has been pared to the bone to provide more share dividends. Where does it end up? Low wages attract low interest and lack of supervision. how long before another rail accident because of lack of proper maintenance. If Ford pul out of Southampton what will happen to the people employed by Ford. What about those who work in small businesses that supply Ford. the baker who supplies the rolls each day? What about money no longer being spent in local shops? What about those who cannot or will not find further employment? They'll not be paying council tax, they'll be claiming benefits like free uniforms and meals for their children. Meanwhile you capitalists think about where you made your money. On the back of the working man. when that's gone all you'll have is your short selling to make money. Now look where that's got us! You have really thought this out. Troll!
