I didn't take a shine to your first points, although your anger and frustration obviously drove you to write like that. Your second post is far more lucid and is very succinct. Most of us tree hugging lefties would agree that immigration does need to be controlled, and we're hardly BNP members are we? And lastly, on a lighter note, it's not just the Skates fault. The blame also lies with Rupert. Don't ask me why, I just felt like blaming the poor soul!

There was a meeting at the Civic Centre yesterday. This was attended by activists of all sorts including a Transit full of Ford employees from Swansea who came to show their support. One Conservative councilor who attended stated to one of the lads that he supported keeping the plant open but he wouldn't enter into any discussions with the people who had attended to lobby the meeting!

Now now! You'll end up on ignore and that would really hurt! I did giggle though, in a lefty, green grassy, tree hugging, racist tackling way.

They're doing what 'Uncle Nick' wants them to do! they are selling the party, cloaking it in pseudo psycho babble so that others, hopefully, fall for it. It's your fault that you can see through it! ;)

The Brown 'kitchen bins' are being introduced in eastleigh and we have had one for a month now. Even though we used to wrap our waste food, wash our tins, wrap our peelings etc it would still make the bin smell, and the bin was only emptied fortnightly. Now that bin has no smell and all the food goes in a bin which has a handle which seals the lid tight. That bin is emptied weekly. I do wonder how things will smell in the heat of summer though. Also I have now noticed how much wrapping from the shops accumulates in our other bin. It truly is wasteful. Plastic bottles, on a cardboard stand and then shrink wrapped in a fairly high density plastic. What a waste of resources!

Who said that? :cool::cool::cool:

You must therefore be a 'grass' because you're certainly not enlightened!

Why was it 'a bit of an anti climax'? Please enlighten me as I can't imagine what you mean. Ooooops! Just seen your 'joke' of a reply.

Is there no limit?

Perceptive, unlike our racist fiends.

I'd presume, unless proven otherwise, that he was a Saints fan talking to other Saints fans? Surely the age groups, like their colour and creed (which you are so interested in), would be irrelevant? Or would you be inferring something that you have dredged up from that cess pit of a mind that parades for your conscious thinking? If you have the bullox why not come out and allege something instead of inferring it. Then maybe whoever you are inferring is doing wrong might have a chance to defend themselves from your inferences? :smt102

Oh we got the idea alright! You left us all with no doubt at all. Nice attempt at defusing things with the smiley winky thingy. Welcome back to the knitting circle.

In it's day it was always wise to be a local at The Crown in Eastleigh.

We have enough racial problems on another thread. Please leave the Scots out of this! -
I'll only send them to those who have paid £5 for the privelige.

Nobody mugged you off more than yourself. You claimed that two non whites were being bigots by watching the thread. Have you worked out what nationality or colour I am, just for your own purposes, so you can conveniently pigeon hole me in your tiny, ordered, insane mind?

I'm sure you are aware that the 'Two-Tone' sort of Ska you mention came about long after the Mods had evolved into skinheads etc. The original Ska was the pre-cursor to Blue Beat and Reggae back in the late 50s / early 60s. -

I am as guilty of that as others! I just find that when someone denigrates another because of their physical attributes or disabilities is morally reprehensible. There have been some posts on here, that are well considered, from people who seem to take the totally opposite stand from the likes of Robsk and I (among others) but others post without thinking or in an effort to 'wind up'. I fall for those wind ups but they actually show a lack of the thought process which I previously mentioned. As a young lad I used to mock the Downs kids until one Downs lad befriended me. His parents told me that he always mentioned me and that I was 'nice'. My reasoning soon stopped me in my tracks, although the rest of my mates thought I was 'queer' they now see where I had come from. Keith Hawkins, I remember you man and I thank you for showing me the way, God bless you!

I think that we're all guilty of prejudice, it would be naive to think otherwise. It's whether we choose to make conscious decisions, in everyday life, about our prejudices or let them roll over us is the point. Simplistically, how many times, as a child, did your Mum tell you that you didn't know whether you didn't like something until you tried it? It's like that with people. You don't know what a person is like until you meet them and talk to them, but you need to listen to them also! And one person does not make a nation. 'They' are not 'all the same'.

My Ex brother in law lived about 5 doors up from there back in the late 70s. We went to his housewarming and started the evening in there. He warned me to keep my Saints Crest tattoo under wraps. Which was very wise. Not a nice pub or area.

Not only prejudicial but flawed because, quite often, what you see is not what you get. It's then that your judgement turns round and, metaphorically, bites you on the bum!
