Yup, I have stated before that I would consider survival a success. I think after the first 5 or so matches many of the overly optimistic people on this board will also start to sing a different tune. I really WISH for promotion, but with these players, and this management team, survival would be a great achievement.

average performer (if we're being kind), high wages- so this is good news. As critical as I am about what's going on with the club/team, I don't think that he brought anything of value that can't be offered by our remaining players.

Great news. I can only imagine how much better a shape we would be in if he had been able to play the last couple of seasons.

I really can't predict this one, based on the reports I've read here about the various pre-season games. So instead I'll just hope for a win.

I have changed my vote from previous similar polls: Where I previously fully expected relegation I have now voted for the bottom half of the table. I have been sufficiently encouraged by the match reports I've read on here to "upgrade' my expectations in this way. Of course, as I also have previously stated, with the proposed system and management I would consider "not being relegated" sufficient success, and in case we do indeed stay up (using the same system and management team for the season) I will (also as promised) publicly concede that Ru**rt did much better than I ever expected. I would love for that to happen.
