Those damn pesky fans. Their "infighting" is taking us down! Alain Perrin, you are a complete joke.

Good article. Surprising to see the Echo out of lock-step with Ru/*rt, but a good surprise. One line in the article says it all: "Saints are facing a second relegation in five seasons, and their second in three seasons under Lowe’s chairmanship"

what should we expect from a manager.. How about; A basic understanding of the game A basic understanding of tactics A basic understanding of English football A basic respect for the fans A basic ability for man management A minimal amount of "spine" to stand up to the boss when needed Just a few "basic" things, all which we have missed too long now.

She wasn't even ANY woman. It's really Michael Palin in drag!

burglaries, assault - Wow, we have some quality guys playing for us don't we?
-
So you seriously do believe that there is a difference in practical terms? Not taking a renewal option on a contract and firing are really two wholly different things to you? The effect is not the same?
-
LOL. Are you really seriously trying to make that semantics distinction? Very funny (or if you're serious. really sad!)

Is there going to be a home win before administration?

Wotte blames low crowd on weather )http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/7869841.stm) Wotte told BBC Radio Solent: "We had 17,000 on Saturday, they all went home satisfied with the performance. Today, I think it's more about the weather." Is this guy for real?

Our new manager reviews his digs

If the ONLY choice was between those two, the Mandaric would be my choice. Actually, if the choice were between Ru**rt and a trained Chimp, I would choose the Chimp!

Who will you support if Saints go really under ?
offix replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Hard to answer, as I live so far away and "supporting" a club is more than anything a state-of-mind at this distance. I cannot imagine having the same passion for any other team. Although watching Fulham on TV this week I found that I do have kind of a soft spot for them, as I see a lot of the "old" Saints in them (and they still have a real stadium too). -
No, he won't be, and nor will the club

They didn't. We gave it to them.

Wotte Verdict - I Have To Give Credit For The 2nd Half Performance
offix replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
Different manager, same excuse: "Saints boss Mark Wotte was left ruing his side's luck" NOTHING TO DO WITH LUCK DUMB SH@T!. ALL TO DO WITH MANAGEMENT (both corporate and on the pitch) -
Rinus Michels, renowned Dutch manager and generally credited with inventing the term "total football", is turning in his grave. As are many of the great Saints of the past! Thanks Ru**rt, thanks Quisling. Hope you both rot in hell!

No Skacel?
-
Wow, there is something that he doesn't screw up worse than he already did. I love him now!!
-
Bought in preparation for our debut in League 1? Seems to be the height of his level.
-
Sorry Alpine, but I don't think our strongest team includes Rudi, unless he has finally decided that the really WANTS to play for us. I have no doubt he has the talent, what has been lacking is the desire.
-
Life makes those decisions for us SOG. It wasn't my choice to leave Hampshire when I did, sh@t just happened. I presume the same is true for Alpine. It still does not take away from my point that; a. A complete boycott would likely have the desired effect of ousting both our chairmen b. I also understand that a complete boycott is much easier to think about for people like Alpine and myself who cannot be at SMS every week.
-
But let's be honest here Alpine: both you and I live far away from SMS, and if you are anything like me you would give your left arm for the opportunity to be at SMS every week. I full well understand that for all those fans who are lucky enough to go to most or all of the home games it must be very hard, if not impossible, to contemplate a complete boycott.
