No, rock bottom is yet to come. It'll be when the club seizes to exist. A newly formed club might rise, not unlike the Wimbledon situation. That will be the bottom, From there on it's all up and further up.

L1 is even more about fitness, desire, and physical strength than this league is. All season we have lacked those traits. Armstrong seems to me to have the possibility of being the very stern taskmaster that could serve us very well in L1, especially when partnered with Merrington.

Even a win will still see us down.

Next season in League 1, if the club still exists, I would LOVE to see the Armstrong/Merrington combo in charge. Armstrong's legendary work rate and dedication should rub of on any team we may have left by then. He will not abide slackers. L1 would be the perfect level for that.

As I am listening to the second half of the Wolves match I am packing up everything in the house, getting ready to move into a new house that we just bought. While listening to the commentary of this sorry-@ss performance I was taking down/packing all my Saints memorabilia; taking down the shirt and scarf that were hanging on the wall of my office, packing up the signed ball (WGS team), packing the small collection of programmes and calendars, etc. It felt like I was packing up after someone died. Once we are moved to the new house the club may be dead, and I will never hang/display any of it again. Sad!

IF the club still exists, then next year will be another relegation year. straight down to L2.
