Plus it wasn't a takeover, it was just the creditors forming a company to own the club - be kind of like us being owned now by Aviva and Barclays.

Michael Tabor. There, said it. "Mystery" backer no more. No need for silly hints, racing analogies and all that. Now wouldn't it be REALLY funny if it turned out Pompey deal wasn't quite as nailed on as claimed.................

Trust me, the fella who is really out in front in the Southampton Acquisition stakes is real, plenty of cash....only a tiny wee fella though so not easy to spot him in the back of taxis etc. Plenty of heavyweights around to obscure, but I am sure the "ITK" crowd know who he is already, how he is connected and how the info on two of the bids is a little crossed over....Irish and Overseas and all that. But I am irritating some and starting ta bore others. Wonder if gold and black will be the new away strip........... Sincerely wish I could just spill the name, but 3 posts a day....would be unfair to hit and run. Admin should find a way to allow casual posters to reply to PMs or something. Funniest thing is the Echo don't know because their sources for these stories (i.e. two of the other bidding parties) don't know who the main guy is either. Which is the other reason can't post it on here. The clues are out there people, and sorry if this makes me sound like a tit, if I could communicate more than twice more today I would honestly give it straight from the horses mouth. But if this comes off, and it should, the smug bar stewards down the road might find that their gloating was premature and Saints will once again be associated with honour and glory.

Wow does everyone need to relax. An old blast from the past may be hovering around and could help secure some global talent for the club
-
All VERY worth repeating, thank you Evo. Again, sat here with a creditor, and no offer or indication of serious interest has been conveyed to them, as would be required. Keep on speculating about consortiums and bids and goalposts being moved by Fry, but nobody has produced a bid credible enough to have it even taken to the creditor group, and that bid has certainly not subsequently been increased, no matter what the Echo reports (for which read "read on here")

Sunderland. Big club, but not necessarily bigger than Saints. Guy shows up when they're in the fizzy pop, says I like the plan, like the potential. Buys 30%, three years later they're stable in the Prem says I'll take the whole lot please. No "anonymous" consortium. Named, known and credible. Similarly Lerner, Abramovich, Ashley, Glazer (after initial "secrecy"), Gillette/Hicks. WHY GOD WHY. Why are we the only club subjected to mystery consortiums and unheard of owners, when clubs big and small up and down the country (QPR, really?) are getting solid and credible owners. SOMEBODY BUY US FFS
-
INSTA-CORRECT (since I apparently cannot edit) if it was done to you or BY SOMEONE ELSE to you. If it was done by you, use I. Oh for feck's sake. Subject of sentence - I Object of sentence - me Always I with "to be" Enough
-
Technically wrong, should never use "me" with "to be" in its past, present or future participle forms. Therefore should always be "It is/was/will be I" rather than me. To completely clear this up, I is the subject pronoun, me is the object pronoun. Therefore if you did something, use "I" if it was done to you or by you, use "me".

Hot on the heels of the "Leon Crouch" Facebook login.............. MATT LE TISSIER IS ON SAINTSWEB!!! I mean, it is him, right?

Marc Jackson consortium has moved to due diligence.

Here's a horribly inconvenient FACT for you Kelso. Mark Fry was in London on Friday afternoon and evening, his partner David Hudson was handling all matters at St. Mary's after about 2pm on Friday. According to staff, Mark went back to his home as he has plans this weekend that he couldn't break hence the delays in allowing DD until after the holiday weekend. ITK - BS. Also FACT - no-one has been given full access to DD materials yet, and the club won't allow access to players' and staff contracts or info until a deposit is paid (as clearly that info would be invaluable to other clubs) and no deposit has been paid yet. Makes me wonder who you really are that you tried to have us believe a woman with a tenuous link to the Club was telling you the deal was done.............but then your spelling and grammar sort of answers that question for me. Get off this site and concentrate on trying to find us investors mate. -

Having a wonderful image of Jackson and his "side cick" having to get their car "releasd" by asking some woman for two hundred quid while Fry was with them.............. I am sure that story is true and not just a bid for attention. Seems Fry doesn't have any cash either then -

Sorry, who is Kelso Kev and what does he have to do with STDs? Those things can itch -

Annoying to hear that Salz is waiting for Jackson's bid to fail. Either Salz get a move on or Jackson FRO before you damage the club and yourself any more. -
Personally I can accept a middle man, I can accept a well-intentioned fan trying to broker a deal. What I cannot accept is someone who toyed with the emotions of one club before being found out to not even have 100 grand to pay a deposit (cheque literally bounced) coming to do the same here. And I ABSOLUTELY cannot stand lies. The man claimed, on Meridian, he was a Scout for Saints, involved in the academy, and was involved in bringing current players to the club. Absolute and total BS. I will forgive/understand most things, but lying on the record like that....... His own boss and a business strategist? The man was declared bankrupt in 2004 and is presently unemployed. Sorry, would love to give all benefits of all doubts. That said, Salz is no better - how long is this guy going to lurk in the wings? At least credit to Green and Jackson, they have put their names out there. Salz needs to put up or push off. And Pinnacle - if the Echo is accurate (which I doubt, knowing where their info is coming from) then the deposit is not an issue if you can prove funds. Their "consortium" feel apart if it was ever remotely real in the first place, but Lynam got his 2 minutes of fame.

Again, zero quotes from any named source. More spoon-fed journalism. I am going to call the Echo and tell them I am leading a consortium and we have loads of money and are willing to pay the deposit. Then call them every day with updates. Seems they'll print anything. Incidentally, IF this report was true, where is the update to creditors (of which I am sitting next to one right now) from the administrator, which we were promised on "a weekly basis or when there is anything significant to report"...... Thought not, so again, just more spoon-fed info to the Echo who are desperate to print anything. -
Quick test Question 1. Since there is a finite number of people who can afford a club even of our now diminished size, these people are generally a/ On the radar of people like Keith Harris at Seymour Pierce and Mark Fry at Begbies since they will know pretty much the pool or able and interested investors, given it's their job they get well paid for b/ Rich enough that they have employees so if they wanted to buy a British team they would be aware of the opportunities out there, one thinks of the likes of Ambani from India and Kraft from the US, who would know which clubs were on the market and would be positioned to make a direct approach to the likes of MF. c/ Completely ignorant until called out of the blue by a guy who sells them on the idea and then fronts their 'consortium' for them Question 2. Serious buyers of football clubs are represented in discussions with clubs by. . a/ Professional services firms such as Deloitte and Touche (Man City, United), Allen and Overy (Chelsea, Newcastle). b/ Sports advisory boutiques such as Seymour Pierce (Man City 1st time around, Chelsea again), Inner Circle (Liverpool, Derby). or NM Rotschilds (Villa, Coventry). c/ Fans........................................ Question 3. People find out about these bids via. a/ Joint Statements to the Press usually by representatives of club and buyer. b/ Professional PR firms c/ PMs sent to mates who post them on fan forums and snippets in the local paper with unattributed quotes. When I hear in a Press Release BY Mark Fry or the interested party that MF has met with representatives in the form of a professional individual or group such as Deloittes etc then I will start to believe there may be a deal. As long as I continue to hear things off here or through planted statements to the Echo that groups like Pinnacle or Green/Jackson are fronting mystery consortia, I will fear for our club's future. Meantime might be nice if the Joker Brokers could exit stage left to allow MF to focus his time where it matters, i.e. pro-actively going out to groups who are known to be interested in football clubs, rather than waiting for them to come to him as he has done thus far, And posters who "know" about enquiries - seriously, if an enquiry (or inquiry for that matter) was real, you would not know about it, unless you are working for BT which from your join date I assume you are not.
-
Other than the planted stories in the Echo, is there any "evidence" that an offer of 14mil was made and rejected? No, didn't think so, be careful of believing everything you read, especially from "sources close to the group" and then basing sweeping opinions on that. Fry's official update would have included any legitimate formal bid made for the club, and it didn't. The whole "we bid 14m but Fry wants more" is just propaganda. There has been no bid made and nothing for the creditors to consider nor reject yet.

Yay, close of business, which means............ FRIDAY
-
Maybe he can go back to his old job as a club scout heavily involved in the Saints Academy that he revealed (much to the surprise of the club's scouts and academy staff) to Meridian News.

As I stated on another thread a few days ago and was shot down, it is clear from the article in the Echo that this Green group are dictating the stories to the Echo. None of the alleged figures have ever been confirmed by Fry, nor has he ever said this group has proven funds etc. Same pattern as at Bournemouth, a rent-a-quote machine making claims in the media that turned out to be simply untrue in that instance (remember the "we did provide funds, 100 grand last Monday" in the now-infamous TV interview? Which turned out to be totally false in that case. Again, I was told by a good friend who works at the Echo that Fry gives zero comment whereas this Green/Jackson group actively call the paper with "news" - they were a lot of the source for most of the stories about their group AND others over the recent days. Read the article in the context of "all the information comes from Jackson/Green calling the paper" and it makes a lot more sense why Fry hasn't responded or taken them seriously. Makes me wonder if they have ever truly proven funds, or shown any capacity to make a down payment etc, or whether they are just telling the Echo that they have. Until I see a quote from Fry this is just pie in the sky talk to me.

Note to Admin: Please retain the function that allows posters to alter their OWN posts when they realise that they are talking ******. "Would it be possible to prevent posters to alter previous posts"...........is actually the most sensible thing you've ever posted, and it is complete nonsense.

Didn't they do Walking on Sunshine? Great tune.

Perhaps the point is more that there are a dozen threads dedicated to the blame game, no need to trot out the same tired arguments on every thread. E.G. Title of thread "Solent News" - topic, has a deal fallen through because the 11am news was unclear..........
-
Thursday we need cleared funds to make payroll. If we don't make that, we lose our players (the PFA will not intervene out of season and with the club in admin) and open ourselves up to further penalties. Basically it is time for the talkers to put up or shut up. Fear houses of cards are falling fast in these "mystery consortia".
