I was out of the country for 2 weeks earlier this month and it was hard enough not being able to go to games. I can imagine what it's like not being able to see any unless they're on TV (hardly ever), so enjoy the game. Did you ever sign up to Saints Player to watch the highlights and listen to the games? It's well worth the money for the extended highlights and interviews etc.

NA has already said that substantial bids were lodged for players, who I assume would slot straight into the starting 11. It's not through a lack of trying, it's just bloody difficult to get players of that quality to join us while we're in this godforsaken league. It is not easy to get players to drop down from the leagues above and most of the players in our league who would be good enough will want to move up to the Championship at least. We need to be patient and have faith in the management. I'm also sure NA has his eye on the loan market in case we need to get players in after the window closes.

I'm fairly sure there was a clause in the CVA which stated that if the funds were not raised then the payment would be put off.

If he wants to leave there is nothing we can do apart from attempt to get the best price for him. If we keep him against his wishes then we may well end up with a disruptive element in the squad. Every club down at our level is a selling club because most players want to play at the highest level that they can. Those are just the facts of life until we get back to the Premiership.
