Remember last season with Beckford? There were rumours in January that he would join Everton at the end of the season when his contract ran out.

As I said, I wasn't defending his actions and I also happen to not agree with his method of protesting. All I was saying is that everybody has the right to protest about anything they feel strongly about, personally affected or not.

I'm not defending his actions, but you don't have to be personally affected by something to make a stand against it.

I bet they sign another player up within the next month and then recall Ritchie after his 1 month loan to end up with an extra player.

Very flat and disappointed with how this season is panning out already. It was all looking so positive over the summer with Cortese coming out and backing Pardew and then with the win on Saturday it looked like our season was about to take off. Since then we have lost a manager that the majority of fans liked and been humiliated in the first round of the competition we won last year. I can't describe how depressing going to last night's game was, you could literally see us falling apart at the seams. We are now hearing that the decision for a new manager will not be rushed, but why wasn't a replacement lined up before sacking Pardew? Will we ever find out the reason that led to Pardew needing to be removed so quickly and possibly blowing our chances in the next few games? I expect us to lose on Saturday now and, if a new manager is not found by next Saturday, for us to get dicked by Swindon again. We can only hope that Cortese picks the right man for the job now and that Pardew doesn't come back to poach our best players when he gets a new job at a club higher in the ladder.
