Like many I've been through the thick (76, 80's) and the thin (Branfoot, Wilde/Lowe 2nd coming) and I will always be there.....but I can't ever remember in the 70's or 80's so much focus on the Board. It was all on the team and manager. I would love to see fans unite around supporting the team and move away from the ego's on here who think stay away fans and attacking players, coaches, managers, board members actually helps. I believe a stable future comes from winning matches and fans support, but agree we must have a foundation to build on. Hopefully we now have.

There is only one thing that all Saints want and can agrre on - that is Saints winning football matches .......it would be a good idea for everyone from Board, coaches, players, fans to concentrate on this

If a team named Southampton playing in Southampton in Red & White stripes.....I think you'll be surprised just how many people would still go.....it is a ritual.....and if the team starts winning.......

I'm going to continue in blind optimism and hope that things will turn out OK (and that Admin had some benefits) until proved wrong......but if it all goes bad this not only affects the supporters, but the town. Will Southampton be the same city without the Saints? and what other business' will suffer......pubs for a start will have 15,000 less people speniding money on beer and food

I've been following the discussions on this forum for some time and read many strange things but never would I ever imagine that a Saints supporter would want P*mpy to win.......

I can't see that we have any major rivalry with Spurs. I quite like them - due to a mate who is ST holder at WHL. It might have been different (for them) if we hadn't gifted them a point in 1978 (last game of season). Which reminds me if we still have a team next year, we need to see Orient as last away game of the season. In 78 as before we got a point which secured our promotion and we expected Spurs to turn up that night......they didn't (nor did Orient fans!).
