Can't wait to see that lineup play. What would your options on the bench be ?

Coppell lined up as Director of Football - online report (or not)
Saint Bones replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Never been a massive fan of DOF's but I'd say that mainly ignorance on my part. What roles do they perform. Are they 'higher' placed then the manager on certain things or all things. I hope the team is well informaed of this and everyone is happy. In saying that, Coppell was a common name for when we were looking at replacing the manager , hope the experience he brings adds to the overall performance on and off the field. -
About 40 mins out of Perth - Eastwards. Nice little quiet rural township.
-
Can we make it the Sat. after ? If the new signings are unavailable, no Saga it still wil be a tough game. It's at home though so we 'should' win.
-
May have missed it but can someone answer this. With the option to buy - Say he goes extremely well - Can this affect the selling price / or the decision to sell at all ?
-
Isn't it the world game... I'm sure we have had players before that couldn't speak English. Coming from the Italian leagues and from a French background English would more then likely be a second language if at all.

Oh Dear... Hard to defend this one. Granted the wages the players get these days is a crime
-
I don't suppose you enjoy strangling small furry animals as well ? Great news - It has given all of us a lift and it truly looks like we have a little gem here. Get those clearances sorted and lets see this new Saints team in actions
-
....er crap. He is a tall lad as well. Carry on....
-
Hammond is 6" as well i'm pretty sure. Things are coming together.
-
Just to clarify - I'm more then keen for him to stay and show us again what he can do. however if its in his head just to bide time I'd rather Paterson busting a gut each week. However - i'm hoping Saga relizes he is here, we are paying him his wage - time to shine. Was it the Nott's thread he was getting slagged ? -1
-
Indeed i wish he would. Seriously though - do you think he wants to stay ?
-
I agree. Just need his opposite in the right flank.
-
or in a weeks time someone will come in for a loan deal and he will be once again out the door. I'd like him to stay and earn his wage, but international aspirations and the prestige of playing in a higher league i think will win out.
-
being the underdog. In premiership a win against one of the big four was like winning a trophy. Nowadays we are supposely the bigger clubs.
-
Any latest updates on Murty's injury ?
-
Very good point. Although id like to think he set asaide the famous "WAR CHEST" for the new gaffer.
-
It sure is a blow of us OS supporters. Must renew my Saints Tv - or Player ( whatever it's called ) With the premier we'd get the hour long highlights show and he occasional live game. CCC we got a highlights package and the very occassional game on TV. Nowadays.... very little coverage. The league show covers CCC and thne a quick 10-15 minutes of the weeks League 1. So keep those match reports coming guys and girls....

Anytime of the day is certainly a good time for a beer Truth be known I'm not much of a beer coniseir ( er expert ) Water is still free, although unsure if QLD has water restrictions or not ( don't worry it's only for the gardens ) Regardless i think you will have a great time here mate... and If you ever want to take a weekender over here in WA I'm sure I can organise some free accommodation.

Juust out of interest - has anyone been to a training session ? Does anyone know if AP is a hands on coach that gets in and trains with the boys ? I recall Beattie praising Hoddle for training with him and personally helping him with his attacking play/goal scoring.
-
Well good luck to the lad - and echoing the above sentiments I hope he hass his head on track. Sounds like Saints did all they could for him... but if you bite the hand that feeds
-
For me ( and I dare say most of us ) continual improvement and for deserts a safe mid to higher table finish after a barnstorming end to the season ! I will take stability though
-
Hope I'm wrong - but I've a feeling loans may be all we are getting until Jan. Love to see Jahidi sign though
-
Well I've read threads on Trottman and Harding but not seen one on our new midfield accusition. For the people who have been at the games can you share your thoughts on him... His strengths, weaknesses. Granted it's only been the 2 games ?
-
Can you still go and watch training. I reckon that may be the best way to find out "what they do in training "
