Lots of road closures in and around the ground on matchday due to the run. http://www.runwiganfestivals.co.uk/

Whatever the system, we have to defend better with balls coming into our box, we are not good enough at the mo

Couldn't get in the Vine 2 weeks ago ? Very strange as been in the for the past few seasons. Will prob try again Saturday. Always tend to park the motorway side of the ground, you have to walk right round the ground to get back to your car after the game but once your back your more or less off and away. See you there

Yes, this can be coached, we are conceding far to many goals where the striker is getting in between the two centre defenders. Unfortunately we zonal mark and not man mark. Man marking is so much easier to deal with. Our manager was a centre half way back so I think we should be doing a lot better at crosses, corners etc.

Sorry, meant east stand !!

Yep, very good. Backs against the wall in that game. Look at us fans though backing the team, especially along the lower west stand. Brilliant days.

Always like going to Vicarage rd, good support from us. We will see the managers tactics if we go one up ! Would like us to be more positive if we do. 1-2 win to us. See you there.

From where we were the “don’t know what your doing” chant was directed at the manager because Shane Long was blowing out of his a hole and was signalling to come off. If he would have come off first the Hojberg 5mins later then all would have been ok. By the way, good day out as normal in Fulham.

-------------------- You're tragic you knoooow, Mauricio Pelligrinooo (yep, i'm off, got hat, tail between legs)

We’ll go one up, decide to defend the lead for an hour and not have another attack, fart about with it and let two in. Sound familiar?
-
Don’t forget Black, it was his fault until he left a few weeks back

This needs to be gold framed and locked in the vault with the rest of the classic posts.

He'll be at Leicester next season probably.

Went to the game yesterday with no expectations really, was impressed by the first 45 minutes, largely due to Chelsea not being at there best but as soon as Yoshida gave the free kick away you could feel the goal going in. I really don't get what Saints attacking plan is, they win the ball back and a channel ball is on but it never happens, Gabbiadini was in decent positions three or four times but the ball just came inside and went back to try and keep procession. My mind is definitely changing on MP, I just don't think he is tactically good enough.

Why did the board fight to keep him as hard as they did in the summer only to sell him six months later, it's not happening, he aint going nowhere this season.
-
I'll be there supporting my team win lose or draw, it's a life sentence being a saints fan and us older generation have seen this all before. Back the boys, you never know.

Does Hayley McQueen or Natalie Sawyer count ??

In my opinion you cant go toe to toe with teams like Man City otherwise we'd get smashed. I really enjoyed watching Saints last night, we looked dangerous on the break and stayed firm at the back. A win Sunday would be a good points return over the 3 games.

What are you not convinced about ?

This thread was stupid and embarrassing before today, back your team and ride the wave good or bad..
-
Fair comment, must have just read it the wrong way
-
Sorry but i don't get your sarcasm ? That's what this thread is for isn't it to have an opinion and to compare us with Man Utd is also very strange, and i was also there at Anfield.

In, Players need to take more responsibility, pull there finger out, play for the shirt and us fans, man the f*** up and get on with there jobs, i'm fed up of hearing he's not happy or he wants to leave or we should be playing two up front blah blah blah. Get a kin grip and get on with what your paid to do. The manager needs to see a reaction Sunday some passion that has sadly been missing, a loss and i feel a decision could be made but at the moment i still think there is some mileage in the manager. (I feel better now)...I thank you

Its started to go wrong when Puel was appointed and decided to change the formation of the side up front. Koeman inherited the formation from the previous manager but made us a little more direct getting the ball up top quicker. Claude Puel totally changed it by taking out the front man who came looking for the ball and would hold it up for the midfield to release mane or whoever. This created more chances and more goals. Since then as we've experienced it's been utter tripe. The reason Puel did this was because he said the way we were playing would knacker us out with the amount of games we would have (or not) with Europe etc.. Best thing we can do is get a Pelle type player in the Xmas window. Simple reason really but only us fans see it not the management.

I remember the early 80's Christmas parties in the old supporters club at the Dell, i was well and truly gob smacked and star struck when the likes of Keegan/Channon/Ball and my hero at the time Steve Williams walked in to sign autographs. Times definitely change you tho as you get older !! Unfortunately, i do not feel star struck with these modern players, but moments back then is why i support this club through good, bad and ugly times, we didn't even talk about formations then !!!. Great memories.
