Can't remember Greavsey playing for some unknown reason but do remember Bally, Brucie and a young Peter Beardsley turning out for The white caps
-
Remember Graham Bakers goal, fumble through the keepers hands.. and Le Tiss banged one in to make it 2-2. got pelted from the man ure fans behind us.. great day tho

Fair enough...didnt understand a bloody word but looked like they were enjoying themselves :

The new keeper coach was obviously trying to impress before the match during the warm up. You could tell he was rusty to say the least, shots flying everywhere apart from the target !! He struggled to get his point across as the language barrier was causing problems. Davis kept turning round to the crowd as if to say wtf is he talking about. 20 minutes before the start of a premiership match and he was carrying out a training session and not a warm up !! Christ, these keepers dont need to be more confused than normal...saying that Boruc did have a good game !! Football eh..
-
I'm more worried about the dressing room, saints will be the first side to have a translater for the english lads !! The bloke cant even talk our language...i wonder what Markus will be thinking looking down on Mr Cortese.

The poor old steward got a smack right in the face from one of his kicks... didn't look best pleased !!

Alot's already been mentioned - How about when saints played Vancouver White Caps at the Dell 1978'ish. I think they had Alan Ball a young Peter Beardsley and Bruce Grobbelaar playing for them. Anyone know what the score was..?
-
I think he needs to be told he's playing QPR every week..he definately had a chip on his shoulder and was proving a point to there fans. More of the same please...then talk about an extension.

Agreed, i do not understand the fascination !!

Was talking to the chap in the saints shop when buying another shirt and he said we are in the last year of our contract with umbro and they will not be renewing. Nike brought the umbro rights a year or so ago but continued with them. Umbro are now making Nike a loss and rumour is Mike Ashley (Sports Direct) will buy it and continue to sell the umbro and donnay brands. Makes sense really as England will finish with Umbro soon and switch to Nike, Personally, i fancy a bit of Adidas. But there you go...

And ?

Got to admit, after watching the first game from the weekend and the first half from last nights game, im a touch worried about the lack of pace from our centre backs, especially with the likes of Aguero/Tevez ect.. Anyway, we are not expected to get anything from the game are we !! (Saints are 14-1 to beat City, worth a few quid in my eyes)
-
Agreed but not taking the premiership for granted, as i think when we were there last we were part of the furniture. Good wake up call (7 years) and thoroughly enjoyed my time watching the lads in the lower leagues, Wev'e got more than enough in our locker to stay with the big boys.

"They love me here" Easy Tiger !!! Good read tho...
-
Had to chuckle at Jack Corks tweet earlier thanking the lads who nicked his boot during the pitch invasion. They keep sending him pictures of the lads drinking out of it ! Quality..

Good shout about Richardson, we really need an overlap as thats not Gulys game. Keep Calm And Finish The Job !
-
So, now Chappers is out, who is going to fill the right midfield slot ? Guly, Punch or Steve De Ridder ? I'd like to see punch given a start, but can't see it and the boss will play safe with Guly and SDR coming off the bench. Thoughts ?

Third best in the league for stats (i think) so not bad for a club as south as we are.. dirty Leeds and West Ham in front.

http://www.footballforums.net/forums/showthread.php/277307-Championship-Away-Following-2011-12 Interesting read, We have an average of 2,364 fans per away game, and this didnt include the Hull and Skate games. Well done Saints Fans !! Oh and by the way that's over a thousand more than the skates..

Interesting listening to Billy's interviw on saints player where he does say he wasnt as fit as the other lads when he joined at that was the reason he was left out of the proceeding games, very honest and hard working bloke tho. Looking forward to a "saints fit" Billy Sharp after a good pre-season behind him. Also, interesting to hear him say about the game against the boro, he said he's looking forward to it but not happy with it being on the tele as they havnt done to well recently !!, it does get to all of us then..very confident saturdays our day tho. coyr's
