I noticed that Schalke only made 3 half time changes when they drew 1-1 with Besiktas at the weekend. Another 3 or 4 around the 65 minute mark. Pretty different to Saints 10 or 11 half time changes.

I think a lot of people, myself included, see a certain player or combination of players perform well over time, and begin to think that they can't be replaced. It shows loyalty and appreciation built up over time. In reality there are only a handful of players in the game who ARE the best. In a way it feels wrong to be thinking about changing the centre midfield partnership because we all know how the team improved once Cork returned. The wins against Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea were all really special moments. It would be nice to think that the team from last year can stay together for years to come, but teams evolve, and hopefully move up to a new level.

Football is my life, Saints are a passion.........but sometimes you just have to switch off for a few weeks.

I would be fascinated to hear any premier league clubs explanation for a increase in the cost of tickets, taking in to account the huge increase in tv revenue. Think I saw a quote somewhere that was something like 'season tickets could be reduced by an average of £300 and clubs would still have the same amount of income'

I would really like it if Saints were mathematically safe going in to the game Spurs Would be a nice game to watch with no real pressure, especially if Spurs still need points to get their top 4 spot.

Neither qpr nor wigan will finish on much more than 31/32 points. Reading and Villa will get around 35/36. Any team with 37 plus will be safe. In my opinion.

I would be surprised. Would have thought that the fact that he got on when he did shows that MoPo has faith in him. On the other hand, that would be a pretty random story for a journalist to just come up with.

Fustrating, as for the first 40 minutes of the second half Saints looked so good, Wigan were really on the back foot we gave them nothing.......then for the last 5 minutes, once it was 2-1, Saints seemed to loose that intensity and there was a horrible feeling of inevitability about the equaliser.

Reeves came off the bench for southend with ten minutes to go and the score 0-0, at home against Oxford. 4 minutes later southend got the winner. Seems like he impressed in the little time he had. Comments from their fans focused on his first touch, awareness of what was going on and his ability to quickly make a good decision. All very positive. Playing devils advocate, I thought that it was interesting that in the final paragraph, the author mentions that he fell out with the club over match tickets but later made up. Am I reading too much in to it to think this may be a reference to something currently happening? Just seems an odd detail to include.

I did think that it was quite amusing on sunday, sky cut to a shot of the holte end, commentator says something like 'fans in the holte end, proud of being like a twelth man for Villa', yet all the fans were sat back, all quiet, someone was expecting their nails etc......and this was at 1-0 down.

Just my opinion, but I would say that Boruc is about 4/5 years past his prime. Fairly underwhelmed at the signing, despite what he has achieved in his career. I would be surprised if he became first choice but imagine he will be a positive influence in training and a competent backup.
