If you are not then who is giving you permission to say he will not be on the bench 1st Sept particularity when you say "guaranteed" meaning fact not opinion If Boruc has given you permission to say such thinks, again that is unprofessional. If you are his agent or the like again that is unprofessional I now expect you posts will be bought to the attention of the club directors. When a club spends £10m on a player which I understand is the third highest ever paid for a goalkeeper then they must think he is worth his place starting. That does not mean Borac is not rated. To improve the side you do not buy bench warmers. You buy to strengthen the first team on the pitch and have an excellent alternative back up in the squad. That is what op class clubs do regularly. That is why squad players ear so much in those top teams. I am sue Borac is bitterly disappointed to find himself second choice but he is a professional and should work to regain his place and give good competition to Forster. If Forster does not come up to the high standard expected Borac will get back in. Koeman is a good manager and will pick the best player.

Lower your sights guys. At the end of last season we would have had no trouble attracting players to take us to the next level BUT we would never have had the freedom of paying the wages commanded due in part to FFP. Having lost our Manager who no longer believed in the dream, players who resolved to move on for the same reason, a team of Directors who lacked any credibility in football circles and a media frenzy we have gone backwards and must now compete with the lower clubs in the Premier. It is going to be a hard season but not a disaster. We must try to build a reputation again. We have a Manager to do that. The group of players we have should help us avoid relegation. Just a few more additions in the underwhelmed but not that bad category should do it.

Here's the problem, they have lied or been economical with the truth to date so what is the point of a statement "we are not a selling club" Liars. Ok I accept most of it is pressure from want away players going to higher placed clubs and much higher salaries but why give a statement that you cannot back up "we have had no bids for players" Lallana & Shaw were aware of firm offers before the World Cup so lies again "we have players were are targeting but it takes time" This seems a one way process as we have completed the sale of all those players other clubs wanted!! Lies again? "Chambers has been injured and not trained for a few days" That is because he was having a medical at Arsenal Why lie. Why not just say he is not available tonight! Lies again? So, what is the point of club statements. The old adage "don't talk the talk - walk the walk" comes to mind. I am not confident we can do that any more.

All the players that have moved on made it clear they wanted to better themselves at clubs better and bigger then ourselves. They can earn more than Saints can pay. Every one other than Lambert have gone for transfer fees in excess of normal market for those type of players. The club have looked at this realistically. It hurts. It is devastating to us supporters and the club but that is football life. It certainly is not about selling up. Football stinks at the moment!

It is only the media that say we have offered new contracts, not the players or the club. As a good union man you know not to accept the first offer. You negotiate for the best you can. Keep calm.

He had no effect on value another club were prepared to pay.
